LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Thanks working a treat, don't need hotspot so haven't tried. Everything else seems to be working great only been playing with it for an hour or so will report back if i find anything.

Thanks again for bringing this device back to the software level it should be on. It's greatly appreciated ?

Yep agree with the above, I turned off all display extras and put auto brightness app on and see the difference in battery drain.

All other functions I've used seem to work great. I use my phone for work, so emails, calls and texts daily i class these as core functions and they've never skipped a beat using this rom.

Big thanks again

Also u will notice the rom will go from 100-70 percent real quick and half the battery comes from 40%-10%. There's a fix for rotation not working. @MiniBlu fixed it on page 16 of this thread. https://xdaforums.com/oppo-f1/development/dev-cyanogenmod-14-1-oppo-f1-f1f-t3519981/page16

U should get around 3 hr screen on time.

Also u will notice u can't swap to video to record. Just use this to go straight to video
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paclab.mashcord

Also I forgot to mention the torch toggle doesn't work so use this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.volsa.torch

I've been using this rom for about while now and its really good.

I've noticed that the screen doesn't turn off when on a call when holding to your ear , I'm assuming it maybe a sensor issue? Or is there a setting I need to change?

Works fine here. No settings to change. Did you do a full wipe before installing? Are you running the modified kernel? It's not a very is sensitive proximity sensor, need to be closer than about 3 or 4 cm to work.

What would the benefits be of moving to spectrum firmware be?

Good luck with the kernel. Hope you can do your magic

Lineage team is slowly working towards using spectum bootloader and firmware for all oppo msm8939 devices. Ultimately it will probably fix the camera issues and should also make sound a bit more compatible. Maybe even improve battery reporting. I have made a new twrp-3.1.1-0 build for spectrum also made twrp flashable zips for changing everything between ColorOs and spectrum. Also testing a port of a new rom over the top of spectrum right now. I will upload some stuff to share overnight ( i can't do it till the wife goes to bed as uploading large file kills our slow Internet)

With the first build for lineage os...flash the latest color os then flash this rom... then hotspot will be fix

but together with data and hotspot it's not working..

    i hope it helps

Yes, but your mobile data is off. The whole point of wifi tethering is to share your mobile internet connection with another device. If you turn on mobile data, the hotspot will show error, and stop working. In the logs it shows the is is to do with forwarding when bridging the connections. I am looking into it and will hopefully have it fixed in the next build(1st full proper build with kernel built in). I won't be finishing it until after the April security patches are released but when I do I'll start a new thread for the proper builds. (the current ones are just a hack using an old kernel).

    Auto Rotation Fix

Fixes Auto rotation which didn't work certain times after a deep sleep
    And also permanently removes navbar

    -Flash it through TWRP
    -Wipe Cache and reboot

Someone provide a patch for the camera app. It crashes so frequently. -_-

Sounds easy. Why don't you do it.
