AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for many Android devices. The name is a play on the word “kang” and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.​

Zejsters.. Thanks for the ROM.. I'm trying the nativesd version... Seems very promising with few bugs. I working towards some bug fixing which I have read from tytungs thread....

1) Native Wifi tethering doesnt work... So changed some stuff in framework-res.apk in array.xml and bool.xml and got it working.
In array.xml change wlan0 to w10.1

In bool.xml I have changed config_wifiApStartInterface from false to true
<bool name="config_wifiApStartInterface">true</bool>
Only problem it doesn't start at first attempt. after turning ON wifitether it was start and stop automatically the first time. Then you have to turn on again wifi tether works (Same as tytungs nexushd2cm10 rom).

2) To enable 720p hardware decoding we have to uncomment the some decoders in mediacodec.xml... This will enable hardware decoding of mp4.

3) Not a bug but kindoff like a mod. Many prefer us including me like to enable potrait navkey but disable landscape navkeys... (Something similar to tytungs NoLandscapeNavkeys.....as landscape navkey interfere in some legacy games and some players in fullscreen mode) So I have edited ROMcontrol array.xml and strings.xml
for array.xml added a 0dip option in the below to arrays

To disable landscape navkeys go to RomControl>NavigationBar>Navigation bar width> and select 0dpi..


I also like the gallery2.apk, the way it animates after clicking a picture (Hate the 3 window preview in CM builts), wish I didnt had those line... i will try some stunts to get this working. Thanks once again, already clicked on ur thanksmeter...:good:

i think this is the snappiest build there is right now as AOSP and CM roms. Only problem I have with notification sounds, I dont have any. Everything else works great, but dont have notification sounds (they are at max volume in sound settings ). I try downloading from zedge some other but the same thing... If you could fix this problem it would be great!

I Have already ported it...
Just few minor bug and then it ready to be posted (APART FROM WIFI)
