hi,
i am going to try android 4.0 as well on my i9100.
but i am not sure if i have an ics bootloader. currently i am running latest cm7 (kang-build from 3 days ago) and cwm installed.
how can i find out which bootloader i am using?

regards,
astrakid

If you haven't ran ics on your phone yet, chances are you don't have the bootloader.

I just saw where others had done settings for keeping battery or clock display on or something like that ......

Thanks

I notice your on AT&T here in the States. Are you having any issues with signal? I really am looking forward to reflashing my phone... Still on a Lite'ning Rom Build and really want to move to ICS.

Anyone with a AT&T signal (and HSPA+ for that matter -- I get amazing speeds here in Milwaukee with it) can you comment on your signal/lack of?

As a workaround for the low headset volume:

- Extract the zip
- Push all four files to /system/bin
- Set permissions (chmod 0777 /system/bin/volumehack.sh)
- Run /system/bin/volumehack.sh headset apply

Note: This is temporary and gets overwritten by the sound driver.

Just as a workaround. We have to fix this damn thing anyway.

Truly amazed by the amount of people complaining. We have been told this is experimental and that it will also need a new leak from big S. Let alone the sources.

Don't like it? Go back to CM7.

So unless some proper feedback is submitted, very little point posting.

why? what is the advantage?

Since we're NOT having sources for the bootloader, no one except samsung can tell you what has changed and what not.

But we've reverse engineered this bloody thing and can tell you for sure, that it contains that little green alien everyone was waiting for.
So if you wanna have this little green alien on your phone, flash it!!!

Like the great said some posta ago its dificult to say what changes from gb bootloader to ics but its the user who have to decide, but remember if you dont feel confortable with odin stay away it could brick your baby

I'm not sure if will work or what, but I've read a property for build.prop to avoid NITZ.

It's "ro.ril.enable.nitz=1"
I'm not sure if it's real or not, I'm just a normal user, but I've read that on ICS/CM9 for Cooper (Galaxy Ace) and I just want to help ;)

Saludos!

i want to have it, but with the lowest effort. ;-)
so if it is possible i would use the simple cwm-way, which means that i don't use the ics-bootloader by now. ;)

i will just try it. hope not to disturb you all with my need for help if i bricked it. ;))

regards,
thanks,
andre

b******t.

there is one but it's not named this way.
and this is not helpful because this just ignores what's coming into the framework.
but our problem is one level lower.

OMG man. In real life you are just a normal person with a normal life and nobody is interested in you.

Don't think that you can be rude just because some ppl in this scene are looking up to you my friend.

i don't like people who are copying some stuff they don't understand and make other people who don't understand what it does trying it.

read through the last 100 pages, then you know why devs are going away from xda or starting to be rude.

try
ro.no_bugs=yes

if you think you might have found something usefull, have a look at the sourcecode before making it public.
it's simple, easy and doesn't hurt.

I Followed your instructions but had the message:

What I'm doing wrong?

Just tried this and wow, its an amazing alpha build!
Great work, so well done and thanks!

Looks like vodafone UK use NITZ, so can't use it but was fun to play with!
