@alezardstar, nah, I just flashed the latest Play Store for the fun of it. Only because I use it on two other microG setups. No reason for anyone else to do so.

I see the boss got us a fix for the self update. Nice.


LG G3 D851, Mahdi KitKat ROM, microG Project (NoGapps), MultiROM, Tapatalk 4.9.5

@alezardstar: In the future maybe the problems of microG with the latest Google Play Store apk will be fixed but in the mean time the version bundled in my zip works perfectly.
@raptorddd: Please try if there are some improvements in the new version (if you still want to use the ROM that was having the problem).

I think that rom had sometjing broken and development jas stopped.. Now am on different rom.. And i was having some weird reboots. They were actually hot reboots as it never showed lg logo. Just dark screen and lockscreen..
May i ask why is that old playstorr is used on your zip?
What happens when latest is used? Thanks

not really i just run stable 2.4 i beleive and no purchased apps here. was working fine for me. thats why i asked. and i asked if someone had a flashable zip and ale sent me here. i read thru all pages but didnt see that.:)

No, just flashing should be fine.

PS: I suggest to remove the account only if you switch from GApps to microG (or viceversa).

Sorry, but it's not working for me. 1.0.8 neither.
Still get Play Store Updates.
Should I try something like a fresh, clean install? Or can I do something to help you find the problem?

Sorry for all the hassle...

Can you please do this?
- Flash again the microG unofficial installer
- Start saving a logcat
- Clear the data on Play Store from Android settings
- Terminate the Play Store
- Reopen the Play Store and go in the app list inside the Play Store
- Wait 20 minutes
- Stop saving the logcat
- Send me the logcat

I installed microG on my ROM manually but failed to get it working as I got stuck at the "Just a sec" screen while adding the account. So, I tried installing this zip but got this error (see attachment).

@dan.man: This log doesn't show most of the messages that I need to debug it, you should use the "copy log to sd" (I don't remember the exact name) to get the full log file.

PS: Which is the installed recovery?

There is no memory card installed in my phone.

I managed to get the log to be written on internal memory and here it is:

It worked great for me, except that every time I opened the play store it ask me to log with a Google account :confused: It worked the 1st time, crashed and now I'm in a log loop
What should I try to make it work ?

Resolution Remix 5.7.4 (6.0.1 CM13 based) on a Z9 Max

i think you should go to root/ect and look for host file. i think i delete it, then flashed his zip and worked after that

Sorry not possible atm. I was playing around and uninstalled Google Play completely but now the installer-zip doesn't install it again, so atm I'm without Google Play completely, but trying to get it back.
When done and the error still persists, I will send you the logcat.

After flashing the zip could you please save the log so I can see if the problems are in the installation phase? (TWRP have an option "Copy Log to SD")

Do you have a file manager with root access?
If yes, can you please go at /data/app and write here all file and folders that start with "com.android.vending"?
Also going in /system/priv-app and write here all file and folders that start with "Phonesky"?

If I can get any hint maybe I can pinpoint the problem.

Here you are:
In /data/app there is one file named "com.android.vending-1"
In /system/priv-app there is one folder "Phonesky" with one file "Phonesky.apk" in it.
TWRP log file is attached.

@bschtl: Strange, it looks like everything is fine.

When you have time could you please try this?
- Try to remove "com.android.vending-1" file and "Phonesky" folder then restart normally.
- Manually install Play Store apk from inside Android and verify that the icon appears.
- Uninstall it.
- Then go in recovery and try to flash the microG installer again.
- Start saving a logcat
- Run Play Store and go in the app list
- Wait some time to allow Play Store to try updating itself
- Stop saving the logcat

    1. Copy the flashable ZIPs to the phone;
    2. Add signature spoofing (needed only for ROMs without built-in support for it) to your ROM using Tingle or FakeGApps;
    3. In the recovery flash the zip of microG unofficial installer;
    4. In the recovery flash the zip of Google Sync Add-on (optional);
    5. Restart the phone.
