I have a problem. I have everyday working instalation of WP7 on Lexar 8GB card. I would like to have dual boot. Tried two methods from this topic, but non seems to work (dd copy with image and also EASEUS ALL-IN-ONE Partition Manager Software first method).
My new Kingston 16GB Class 4 not recognised in WP7. It looks like a clean instalation without a card inserted.
I did not do hard reset with this new card, because I have a lot of stuff on the old card.
So i tried to have dual boot with two cards. Reformated 16GB Kingston with Nokia E71, SonyEricsson Xperia X1, PC SDFormatter, PC disk part - but never recognised in MAGLDR - (FAT 32). I copied the Android folder with PC card adapter (not mass storage), but not booting SD Android. Even mass storage in MAGLDR fails to install drivers with this card inserted, but when using Lexar everything is ok. So, the same problem exists even when using only one 16GB FAT32 partition.
If anybody has an idea what the problem could be - you are welcomed to reply. Now, I am not even sure if my HD2 card reader supports 16GB, perhaps is damaged somehow.
HD2 Euro 512, Radio_2_12_50_02_2.
WP7 instalation after hard reset (in about screen) from previous instalation.
Lexar 8GB Class 4 - WP7 working OK - MAGLDR Mass storage OK (driver instalation OK)
Kingston 16GB Class 4 (C16G Taiwan) - not even recognised by MAGLDR Mass storage (driver instalation fails), not recognised when partitioning for dualboot in WP7 - recognised and working in PC, Nokia E71, SonyEricsson Xperia X1, but not in HD2
Any idea?
When I boot back to WP7 I allways have to set up my phone as after first boot after flashing. Why I lose all my setting after I reboot from Android?
its weird that when after install WM7. I check my cdcard on my pc. its not FAT16. its stated others. any ideas? this wont allow me to resize the partition.
Can't you set only one partition primary? would occur to me... by the name and everyting.

I have a problem when I load Andoid Dezire v3.3 with Maglr 1.12 from SD card.
The first boot its ok it loads in 3 mins and in home screen is the clock and other stuff from the developer. Then you can setup the phone put email accounts download programms from market etc.
When I restart the phone and load again the android from SD all settings are deleted. The home screen is emty all of them all settings for mail account facebook twitter etc is emty but any programms that I have downloaded as skype there are in the programms folder. It seems that its only looses the settings.
If I put them again after a reboot the same hapens the programms are there but the settings are not. Home screen emty etc.
What is the possible cause of this issue please help.
I have a 16 MB sandisk SDHC memory card in HD2 with 3 partitions First Fat 32 with 64kb sec 11Mb for android and other 200MB and 3,5 GB for WP7.
The Wp7 works fine boots from NADN Marketplace unlocked etc.
I use the Android Dezire version 3.3 and a data.img file about 2gb. The config is for boot from SD with Maglr.
If I use a difrent sd card without partition for Wp7 the Andoid works perfect no lost settings and it steel loads with Maglr from SD.
I have made tha card exact as we see in first video in the first page of this thread.
Has 3 primary partitions Fat 32 Android Fat16 200MB Wp7 And Unformat 3,5GB Wp7 I dont have change any other files exept the config
but with the same files works fine in an other SD card with no WP7 partitions
All the partition are primary partitions and I use the eraseus programm the same as in the video
Thnx for help I tryed the 32kb secs but same stuff after the first boot all are lost even the home screen tabs that was there after primary install I tryed also coping all files from an 4 GB SD card that works fine with android but has no wp7 partition on it and again all settings lost if I change the Sd cards all is back and I dont even load Wp7 only Android same setup from diferent SD cards.
The version works fine if there is no wp7 partion on the sd card thats why ask help in this thread.
Magldr 1.13 was just released.
I am not sure if this affects us having wp7 dual boot hd2 all that much.
The battery, reboot when connected and data errors with usb mass storage copy seem to have been fixed.
Correct me if I am wrong but apart from this it seems that there will not be any changes for us with wp7 as the nand os and sd android. CWR is for Android in Nand and not on sd.
If I am incorrect, please let me know and I will update the 1st post.
Also, looks like wm6.5 will be nand and not sd
IMPORTANT: I JUST FLASHED MAGLDR 1.1.3 and Flashing magldr 1.13 will NOT result in having to reload everything, including wp7.
DO NOT FLASH USING DAF but enter bootloader (Rainbow screen at startup) and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe
Thanks
No, its not affecting people dualbooting at all. What are you talking about wm65 being on nand, not SD? There's no nand version of wm65 out for magldr, and the SD version isn't released yet. Nothing has changed as far as cotullas plans for that, afaik. If you know something I missed, please let me know.

No, WP7 takes up the NAND space, and you can boot Android from SD with magldr. Cotulla is working on a SD version of WM65 though, so if he successfully creates that, we will be able to boot WP7 from NAND and WM65 and Android from SD.when it says you can run android and windows phone 7 off the memory card does that mean you can have windows 6.5 as well without the memory card
You have to use minitool partition manager to change your wp7 partition from logical to primary... then your android build will be able to mount your sd card successfully. I attached it for you.i did the partitioning successfully (8gb sandisk), but my android can only read the data.img (1gb) space as internal one & cant find the rest of the space as sd card (3gb) (it says there's no sd card inserted)
hlep pleaz
That's dope that there's these videos to help out people, but id like to see one showing how to do it with the alternate method with 1 card.. Mostly to see if peeps are even telling the truth saying its possible.. Like I said earlier, couldn't do it with that method, ended up having to do with two cards, 1 8gb card and 1 16gb for 8 per OS :[ (wanted majority for Zune music, but no dice)
