In a effort to clean up the ARHD thread I have decided to start managing and maintaining an up to date list of kernels repacked with the ARHD ram disk.

NOTE: The kernels listed here are for Android Revolution HD only and whilst they may work in other ROM's I highly recommend you don't try.

Some of the below kernels require a two stage installation, firstly flashing the boot image via fastboot, then installing the modules via a flashable zip. If a flashable zip is required there will be a modules link next to the kernel.

Installation

1*) Place the flashable zip on your SD card
2) Connect your phone to your PC and reboot your phone into fastboot
3) Flash the boot image as you normally would via this fastboot command:
fastboot flash boot image_name.img
4) Just to be sure erase the cache via fastboot:
fastboot erase cache
5*) Navigate into recovery and flash the zip you placed on the SD card in step 1.

Steps 1 and 5 are dependant on if there are modules with the kernel you have chosen, if no modules are present then you can skip these steps.

Alternatively you can try the Multi Kernel Installer by maseo from here or the One X One Click multi tool by thunder07 from here

Older Versions

Should you be using an older version of Android Revolution or you require an older version of a repacked kernel you can get them from M3PH's archive. If you need a specific ARHD repack then just ask.

Notes

As always ensure you have a nandroid backup before hand and also ensure you have a copy of your ROM's boot image, if your kernel doesn't work you will need to restore your ROM and fastboot flash the boot.img.

I have not yet had time to test all of these kernels, should you have a problem with boot loops or stuck at the HTC screen then report it to me and I will take a look.

If your phone boots but you encounter other problems then report it in the relevant kernel thread and not here.

Developers

If required I can provide download statistics of the repackaged kernels, just PM me and we can set something up.

Credits

Thanks to Daekin for his zImage Injector, the tool I used to repack these kernels.

Thanks also to DooMLoRD, AliceXES, show-p1984, kholk, faux123, franciscofranco, n3ocort3x, kozmikkick, Alex-V and Xmister for there continued efforts in kernel development, maseo for this Multi Kernel Installer tool, thunder07 for his One X One Click and last but not least thanks to mike1986 for the Android Revolution HD ROM.

Faux123's kernel !

Hi there,
Just flashed faux_001b3_arhd_5.2.0 kernel - it seems fine !
But how do I check/see that I have flashed the correct kernel ? (settings/about/software/more: says 2.6.39.4-g6990c7, paul@ubuntu#22, SMP PREEMPT)
Yours Morten

Will I loose all my settings (eg homescreens, installed apps, messages,...) in ARHD? Or will it boot like nothing has changed ex. the kernel?

An idea....
What dont you ask the ARHD team to give one of the firts posts in their thread for you to maintain and post kernels there?
Iam saying this cause these kernels you are offering are Rom specific..

broncogr, I'll have a word with the ARHD team but looking at the thread, they don't have any reserved posts available...

flash boot.img first then flash superwipe - flash rom - flash modules(depending what kernel you go for) then reboot and you are running ARHD;)

so first follow the way i told you but when flashing the boot.img first use the guide in the first post here mate:)

First of all thanks GuyAdams for repacking these kernels for ARHD!

OK so I want to install the Bricked v0.3.
I am running ARHD 5.2.0, flashed the boot.img in the OP in bootloader (renamed Bricked_v0.3_arch5.2.0.img to boot.img and used the install-boot-windows script as I would normally flash the ARHD boot.img.

Next I flashed Bricked_onex_v0.3.zip through CWM. No errors, all ok.

Next I reboot, but Sweep2Wake doesn't seem to work, and when I check about>kernel it says "2.6.39.4-g69960c7 root@BM053 #1 SMP PREEMPT" .. I supposed to see Bricked or similar there right?

So what am I doing wrong...

In Settings/About/Software Information/More/Kernel is should read 2.6.39.4-Bricked-V0.3-ga0c17e8

Did you edit the install-boot-windows script because that looks for boot.img, not Bricked_v0.3_arch5.2.0.img.

I would suggest flashing the image manually, that way you know the correct one has been flashed.

I have a little annoucement to make.

Over the last week or so Guy and myself have been working on a way to reduce the load on his dropbox account. To my, the obvious solution was to create an archive of the kernels for older versions of ARHD. So after quiet a bit of faffing about I am proud to announce that as of right now all kernels repacked for ARHD versions 5.2.0 to 8.x.x are now available for download from the below link.

    http://d-h.st/users/M3PH/?fld_id=4887#files

Enjoy and don't for get to to hit the thanks button
    6
NCX 24b and XM #206 have been repacked for ARHD 18.x and 19.x series ROM's and added to the first post.

Don't forget to hit thanks :)

    Enjoy!

Kozmik 007 and XM #210 have been repacked for ARHD 18.x and 19.x series ROM's. Also I have added XM #106 for ARHD 19.x

    Enjoy!
