Thanks a lot, will look into it tomorrow (it's getting late here), but it's gonna be very useful.
Did you make the FC happen several times or just once while your logcat was running ?

Did it count that I made a logcat after FC? FC happens after reboot, always. I then run my logcat after I got to adb wireless (because for some reason I couldn't connect my devices to adb via USB).

Because I'm so surprised my logcat is long, I did make a logcat again here
http://pastebin.com/T6bcGBHf

I think I saw E about systemui status bar tabletmode something there ..

Also I did experience couple of systemui FC (I didn't run logcat this time, sorry :( ), once when I opened Youtube, and once Adobe reader, but offcourse It didn't FC the apps.

Thank you for your effort!

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback:good:

Basically, if your logcat wasn't recording during the fc it wont appear in the log :s
But anyway i'll look into it, will surely try to rebuild at least the framework files later today.

Just flashing for p6200 build, been great so far. But soft button navigation bar for phablet is way too small, compared to cm10 build. Any way to increase this?

Thanks for the great work. It's a reward for us being patient :)

Hi, first off, thank you so.much for bringing PA to our device.

I installed and tested but it seems that PA setting cannot change any of the apps' size. I dont see any difference in apps no matter what size I set for an app.

For example, the interface and the size of Google Play store is always the same no matter what value I set under size or ui tab. Im not sure if PA setting works at all in the current build. (Too bad that you dont have the device)

Also, theres no difference between Phone and Phablet mode.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Anyway, Keep up the wonderful work! We will just keep reporting! :)

Finally, the perfect rom arrived for our Devices! =D

Everythings fine but same FCs on systemUI:
Here my log for like 2 mins from startup till shutdown:
http://db.tt/D0shOY8x

I get tons of no recource for systemUI stuff like this from 10-19 16:17:42.0 :
10-19 16:17:42.100 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/btn_off
10-19 16:17:42.100 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/btn_on
10-19 16:17:42.125 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/ic_null
10-19 16:17:42.135 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/ic_sysbar_back_ime_default
10-19 16:17:42.135 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/ic_sysbar_back_ime_pressed
10-19 16:17:42.150 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/ic_sysbar_kill
10-19 16:17:42.150 W/AssetRedirectionManager( 2027): No such resource found for com.android.systemui:drawable/ic_sysbar_killtask

Then, there is a fatal exception for System ui at 10-19 16:17:43.145 :
10-19 16:17:43.145 E/AndroidRuntime( 2183): FATAL EXCEPTION: main
10-19 16:17:43.145 E/AndroidRuntime( 2183): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to create service com.android.systemui.SystemUIService: android.view.InflateException: Binary XML file line #48: Error inflating class com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.CompatModeButton
Hope its usefull...

Did a wipe for cache + dalvik cache on install, no factory reset.
But since everyone got same issues...

Once again: Thanx a lot!!! :D

Edit: Switched to phablet mode with expanded desktop:eek:N
Size seems normal now, but the touch area for buttons is a bit off them.
(Existing issue on CM10 with our tablets)

Do you notice any difference between phone and phablet mode? Because I don't.
Also, do you get different sizes for apps set under PA setting? Because I don't no matter what size I set for any app.

Thanks a lot man, now I can see what's wrong : looks like there's a typo in a systemui xml file :

Code:
Error inflating class com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.CompatModeBu tton

Can you please confirm that the space in "CompatModeBu _ tton" exists in the original log ? (Just to make sure it's not a quoting typo).

Cant see a space in the log file. Only 4 to 5 results for CompatMode, only in 16:17:43.145 all with *Button behind but no spaces:

10-19 16:17:43.145 E/AndroidRuntime( 2183): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to create service com.android.systemui.SystemUIService: android.view.InflateException: Binary XML file line #48: Error inflating class com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.CompatModeButton.

Iam gonna do a clean install when i get back to work and create a logcat again. Lemme know if i can do sth more.
Cheers dude!

Thanks a lot. I'm actually compiling an experimental v2.23 build using the phablet overlay, like we do on p68xx. Not sure how it's gonna behave on a 1024x600 resolution though.
I'll need you guys to test it for me. If there are problems I'll rebuild using the regular hdpi overlay.

I'm thinking maybe the error comes from the fact that I built v2.22 just a few minutes after the new changes were merged, so maybe there still was an error that was quickly fixed afterwards. We'll see.

v2.23 Released

Ok guys, new build, new hope ^^
I built v2.23 only for p6200 atm, I'll wait for feedbacks on whether the paranoid prefs are working or not before building p6210.

The new build has been pushed OTA, so you can update right now using the goo manager app included in the previous build.

Or you can use the download link below :

I try to flash the latest update, but after installing, it stuck at samsung galaxy tab 7 plus. I already wipe cache and wipe dalvik. I need to wipe data too?

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

I do not own this device, I built Paranoid Android for p6200/p6210 on request.
Therefore, the builds are not tested before release, remember you flash this at your own risk

IF COMING FROM STOCK : Do NOT wipe anything, Flash this rom directly, reboot recovery, then wipe data (factory reset), cache and dalvik, and then Re-Flash this Rom again. This will get you safe from bricking your emmc chip.

    ¤ Download the ROM :

This is fully built from sources, but remember this is a work in progress, so please consider it as such.
Neither me nor the Paranoid Android team will be held responsible for ANY kind of damage or issue or thermonuclear war triggered by flashing this rom.
YOU are the one who decide to flash a rom and modify your device, so you assume the consequences.

    Known Issues :

    - All CM10 known issues
    - Report yours after reading below

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:

    1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Try aorth's cm10 to see if you have the same issue there. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.

    2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods as well (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.

    3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

    New Builds

New builds (v2.53) for p6200 & p6210 are being uploaded as we speak.

Once again, as you know, I'm having problems with my smdk4210 builds lately, so these are for testing purposes only atm.

This time I'm using the latest teamhacksung's smdk4210_new kernel sources instead of the CyanogenMod smdk4210 sources I usually use.

Links will be posted as soon as they're available.
    7
    ok ill try that...thanks..

and no new update for new PA..? its already on v2.53 and it looks pretty cool!!

i know that ur so awesome! :highfive: this tab is already in very stable & almost perfect build..battery is really great

    please..!more updates!!! :)

Well, I'm maintaining Paranoid Android for 6 different devices, writing the apk version of Pimp my Rom, rewriting all its scripts.
I also have a real-life job, I'm doing this development on my free-time, and moreover for free.

So please understand that I try my best to provide all my users with fast updates, I always build as soon as I can.
Asking for ETA's won't make things happen any faster.
    7
    Good news !

The bootloop issue is finally figured-out, thanks to matangelo

The problem is coming from the modifications I made to the smdk4210 kernel (mainly adding zRam support for p68xx). But though p68xx & p62xx share the same kernel, your tabs seem to not like my modifications.

A quick-fix while waiting for v2.50 to build is to replace the boot.img inside the pa zip with the boot.img from cm10, the rom should boot properly.

Thanks for your support and patience guys, you'll finally get a functional PA build today :)
