problem with galaxy fit(video problem)

Hi
i'm new to android stuff
i have a problem first my firmware is GB 2.3.4 Arabic
the problem my device can't run video's at all
from 20 video only 2 work and the others don't work
all of them mp4 i tried to convert but with no results LQ or HQ
reducing the resolution or increasing it didn't work
installed player from market didn't work
but the video's captured by cam works just fine
now where's the problem???
do i need to overclock my cpu?
help me
P.S: on froyo video's and music didn't work but after updating to GB 2.3.4 all works fine for me expect video's

use mxvideoplayer & convert high quality videos to this values ;
mp4
resolution 640x480
rate 128
audio rate 128.......
it will work fine isa.....

when i put a mod
will that cancel my warranty?
and is it safe to do that
finally how about overclocking galaxy fit cpu?
will that help me overcome the problem?
i need answers

installing a custom ROM is safe but will void your warranty. But, you can easily get the warranty back by reflashing a stock ROM.

Most videos should play without any need for overclocking...

but in my case i wouldn't even play a mp4 format or 3gp
ok i'll try a mod
can you give me the best mod for my fit
and question i've see a mod called cyanogen mod 7.1.0
you delete cache and other stuff
if i ever wanted to go back to stock rom
will i install it with odin like everytime?
