TouchXplorer isn't a registry editor at all, it's a filesystem browser. The same guy who wrote it does have a registry editor, also on his website (http://TouchXperience.com). However, the most capable Focus-specific editor available today is by Heathcliff74 and available at this link: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1021135

Found a neat one:

HKLM\System\State\BatteryUX\MainInvervalIndex
Dword=7

Changing this number changes how many different battery frames are displayed.

I guess maybe there's an error in that one, because "7fffffff" could be written as a String and not a Dword, but I don't know, just guessing...

TouchExplorer is for LG.

Look for SamsungRegistry App, its a little cumbersome, but better made for the sam isntead of RegistryEditor.

Did anyone manage to activate their phone using the tweak provided here? I having a problem activating my phone..i think i had follow all the instruction and yet i still cant activate my phone.

At first i created a text file and put the registry key inside the text file. Then i change the extension to ".reg" so that i can convert it to ".provxml" file. I was then put the "CustClear.provxml" file into the HTC-ProvXml-Deploy0.0.1 and install it on my phone. But this does not work for me...=(...

So anyone have any idea on how to get this thing solved? I will appreciate your help..thank you very much

Is it possible to do a restore using Zune, apply the registry settings, and upgrade again? Or doesn't a restore also restore the os version?

Yes it is. Just did that on my HTC mozart... Didnt have a restore so downloaded RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_1.23.401.06_Radio_5.51.09.06 _22.30.50.09U_by_ansar and then unlocked it with Chevron WP7. Then applied the reg change so it dosent relog on zune sync. Then i let zune update my phone.

And it is still unlocked :)

to save 720p video settings go to :
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Apps\Qcamcorder

and swap the content of folders QccCaptureResolution1
QccCaptureResolution3

just swaps the reseloutions on the objects in the menu so 720p is item NO1.
and it should be default
dont think it changes the names, but its progress
if anyone can find the name,

Sorry mate as good idea as it sounds it seems to not work on HD7? Which device do you have? On HD7 editor you can not rename them (or I do not know why) so I had to delete them and make new one's but that did nothing.

sorry, don't rename the folder, save all the values from 3 and 1
and load them into the other folder.
and like i said it wont relabel them in settings, but if u record something and look at the res after its 720P

i have a samsung focus, so i changed the data values manually and its workin for me
(no working PC regeistry editor)

This is in reference to the "audio stuttering at the ends of songs on Zune" issue - can someone who's experiencing this problem help confirm/disprove this attempted "fix"?

The problem: Sometimes, the last five seconds or so of a song will skip - stop suddenly, then play a brief snippet, stop again, play again, etc - three or four times. It seems to happen most often on DRM'd tracks, and most often when the screen has shut off. I've also heard a similar thing playing playlists on the Rhapsody app, although the badness happens at the beginnings rather than the ends of songs - but also when the screen is off.

The theory: Zune (Rhapsody is probably using the same underlying framework) goes into a lower-power mode when the screen turns off, and maybe conserves a bit *too* much to handle the load of both setting up the next track AND doing whatever dark magic rituals DRM requires.

The experiment: There's a registry value called ActivityEvent under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Zune, set to "PowerManager/ActivityTimer/UserActivity".

I deleted this value on Friday, and haven't heard any audio stuttering on either Zune Pass content or Rhapsody playlists all weekend. If I'm doing what I think I'm doing (preventing the Zune app from going into its power-saver mode) then I'm probably running my battery down much faster than I would otherwise - I'll do some testing on that later, but even if I am, it's a trade-off I'm totally willing to make.

My specifics: Samsung Focus, dev-unlocked, with official NoDo update.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can confirm this (and reluctantly appreciate it if someone can disprove it).

It works on Nodo, but you still need to be unlocked to run an app that can change the registry value. So if you're on Nodo and locked, there is still no way to change it.

LG have an bult-in app that can change the registry on locked device...

BTW it's not working with nodo and LG Optimus 7 t-mobile locked...

I did all well but after restart says to change SIM card...

but when I open chevron it gives me "relock" function like it's unlocked but it doesnt...

Do you think it's possible to delete a registry entry through LG's MFG app? There must be some code that can be inserted to do so in the registry editor...
Is there also a way to list registry entries too? I am trying to delete some registries to fix my live tile/toast issues.

Use each music and each audio format with each size as Ringtone , Alert , Alarm

    Hey guys
I finally found : Use .m4a , .wma , .wav and .mp3 formats as Alarm,Alert,Ringtone ((without size and length limitations))
without changing the audio name for example Alert-01.wma or .....

    first copy/paste your favorite(s) music(s) to \windows folder.

    ok go [HKCU/ControlPanel/Sounds/
    OEMNotifications << for Alerts
    OEMAlarms << for Alarms
OEMRingtones] << for ringtones < as Alarms

in these 3 folders add "new value" and then :

Value Name: name.m4a or name.mp3 or name.wav or name.wma << name=name of your audio file that pasted in WINDOWS folder.

Value Data: enter a name for your audio that you want to be shown.

    Value Type: String

then click "ok" to set it and go to Setting>ringtones+sounds and see

    I tested with .aac , .amr , .m4a , .ac3 , .aiff , .flac , .mka , .mp2 and .ogg formats but just .m4a worked as SMS Alert.
I try it to add a small .mp4 video as ringtone but did not work.
I think if we can add more formats for Ringtones Category it will be possible to have video as ringtone.

(important) If you use a long music as sms alert for example you can not stop playing it so you must shutdown your phone.

I think with this registry tweak all applications related to Ringtones and RingtoneMaker and ... must be change.
