ABOUT THE PROJECT:
GimmeABreak is a Rom I thought up originally for the DHD a while ago, but 5 months and 1 DHD later I've brung it back for another run, the correct path this time! So enjoy!​

FEATURES:
- Based on 20140413 Nightly CM11
- Smallest CM based Rom
- Deodexed
- HoloSense UI/Theme
- Roboto fonts
- Netflix fix
- SuperSU
- SDcard readahead values increased
- Enabled GPU rendering
- Removed logging
- Adblocking
- Facebook Sync Hack
- Minimal amount of ringtone/notifications/alarms
- Fly-on Mod
- KK Launcher
- Custom init.d scripts
- Build.prop tweaks
- Apps2SD Support
- My own "MiniCM" Bootanimation
- Removed Bloatware and unnecessary applications from CM11
- Latest CM Source

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • HTC Desire HD
  • Custom recovery
  • A brain
​



KNOWN ISSUES:
- None as of now;).
​


HOW TO FLASH:
  1. Download the latest version and place it on your SD card
  2. Boot your phone into recovery mode
  3. Do a Full Wipe (recommended)
  4. Browse to the location of the ROM
  5. Flash ROM
  6. Remember to reflash boot.img via fastboot if you are HTCDev unlocked.
  7. Reboot and enjoy!

Check to see if its a bad dl, I've tested it. Im looking over the updater-script now for some "last minute" errors

I would look in Caspboy other ROM, the one in my signature, remove the file that is talked about and retry he ROM install. Worth a shot.:eek:

for now, this rom is just stock cm(theme and tweaked), I will add small functions/mods here and there, but I'm working on the whole "daily use" experience - its the big picture:)

EDIT: But remember, GMAB has always been a team effort, so suggestions are how I update:D

    I will be posting update v1.7 in a couple days...at most in the days! I see the issues and request so I will make it happen:D And I see you guys are fighting through the bugs so its great to know you have faith in this rom! So hold on for a few:D

    Updated to v1.6! Why call it v1.6 you say? Cause it feels like it! v1.5 just didn't fit...

    Anyways, this version meets most of you guys needs and request. The biggest issue of all was the FB Sync hack causing problems with saving Call History, so I got to the bottom of it and ask a great xda member Mardon - who already had a fix to the issue! So that was that, but also, with the launcher freezes. Launcher3 doesn't perform but so great on cm based roms, so I was on the hunt for a new launcher. Nova was obviously a first thought, but its way to much and way over done, so I stubbled apon KK launcher...and made it happen!

    Also, the old fonts weren't the best so I changed it, but I will included a flashable zip in the op if you still like it;). Other than that, I got the really nice bootanimation!!! Its awesome to me, been eyeballing it for days:D So hands down I've fixed some of the small issues, small but deadly!
