Try flashing it all over again, but this time make sure you do not have SIM card in it. Try out once,it worked for me....

Just a heads-up to say that I have successfully flashed alroger's "CM9 MTD 20120424 – Full ROM + PDroid Patch", followed by Gapps (2012-04-22), then CameraUpdates.zip (to get the menus in Camera.apk, in addition to the already-fixed lib and media_profiles.xml).

UPDATE: alroger says that build 2012-04-24 already contains the bits from CameraUpdates.zip, so in theory there is no need to flash the ZIP update separately.

Note that this ROM is based on the sgt7 repository, which includes goodies; such as a better recovery; not included in the main CM9 code repository.

My usual check procedure is (obviously, I cleared cache + dalvik cache beforehand):

boot into system, try a 2G phone call, update AdAway hosts (similar to AdFree), delete ROMManager and GenieWidget from /system/app/ using RootExplorer, check Superuser (su binary update), verify DroidWall iptables, and finally refresh the PDroid app cache. All working nicely!

Unless something really important is fixed in upstream CM9 code repository (and subsequently pulled into sgt7 repository), I will probably stick to alroger’s 2012-04-24 for a while, because the latest partition changes require restocking from scratch (to BML Gingerbread using Odin repartition, which implies erasing the SD card, personal data, etc., then CWM recovery + convert ext4, etc.) ... even when already coming from MTD!

Alroger's 2012-04-24 build works great by the way. No issues so far.

OBS: build 24 has all the camera fixes and camera apk included! you might want to flash it again, who knows, might have newers fixes and newer camera.apk... I can't be sure.

Would you know what 24/04/2012 gives, compared to the one of 22/04/2012? EDIT: answered above..

as a side question, I'd be interested to know why you're using adaway instead of adblock..?

AdFree has not been updated for a while, the user-interface is really awkward to use.

I use ROM Toolbox for lots of stuff.. LCD density, adblocks has more options, scripts, cpu tweaks, auto-start manager (to stop apps from starting without my permission), etc..

i want to flash it but cdesai says we have to restock

how can i make this restock? and
is this really necessary?

Yes you have to restock. As in restock as always?

No you need not. Restock is needed only if you want to leave from MTD to BML (Overcome, for example) or when you use previous MTD build and want to flash brand new one with new partitioning.

My method has nothing to do with the RIL / Phone problem. I don't have to prove it lol, I am just saying...

Also, RIL stops working for a reason we don't yet understand. But happens to all who upgrade. Just restock and copy the modem.bin file in /radio

PS: This is my 200th post! Yeeey for me! I'm just glad it was a useful post for the community!
