This is the official presentation of my custom ROM called Barrilete ROM.
My project is to unite the beauty and performance in the same time, in a new Android experience.
Barrilete ROM is a custom rom for Alcatel One Touch S'Pop 4030A device,
based on the official firmware update January 8th, 2014

INSTALLATION:

Before installing a custom ROM is important you move files from internal storage to an SD card so also contacts, phone numbers, etc.. as they will be deleted when formatting the phone

Requeriments

• Alcatel One Touch S'Pop 4030A
• CWM Recovery (Other Recovery, Please Test)

Installation

WARNING: Please make a full nandroid backup of your current ROM( I recommended TWRP). The "nvram" folder contains important information (IMEI, BT and Wifi address, files for sound, etc) so it is necessary to make a backup. The nvram folder is in the / data / nvram directory. If you use TWRP Recovery go to backup option and select nvram, and if you use CWM Recovery make manually.

• Put Barrilete ROM v2.0.zip in SD Card
• Boot In To Recovery
• Wipe Data/ Factory Reset
• Wipe Cache Partition
• Wipe Dalvik Cache
• Install Zip From SD Card
• Choose Zip From SD Card (select Barrilete ROM v2.0.zip and flash)
• Reboot System Now

Note: The first boot may take a period of approximately 3-5 minutes, you please be patient.

It's nice to see that devs are now coming to my thread. Thanks for sharing your work. and keep up the good work. BTW, together with team GA, we have just successfullt ported a 4.2.2 rom to our devices but it still has alot of bugs so there is so much work to do.

I have thought of adding scripts in the GE-Rom but decided not to. Google edition means just plain and stock. So it's up for the user if he/she wants to add scripts in it. I also avoid incompatible scrpits as it may cause instability to the rom itself.

Great to hear that! 4.2.2 coming! I have successfully flashed the ROM you shared. I thought I will be going crazy because it does not work during the first 2 flashed. But thankfully, doing the reboot recovery and wiping factory reset; then reflashing the zip (which I initially extracted before zipping again), it works and now testing it on my device. Thanks!

What's new in the updated ROM, had you updated the link? Thanks! So far working rom is great and smooth just have an issue with installing a particular APK file (WORDWED AUDIO Dictionary) but all other apks are working.

Latest version of GE_ROM is just awesome, :laugh: everything is working fine and smooth. So far, so good, no problems at all, every feature is working fine, calls, WIFI, Bluetooth, APK's, etc... Beautiful job! :good: I can't wait for that 4.2.2 update :laugh:

Butter Smooth! Have tested whole day and check for other issue but so far no problem. Xposed Framework improves the experience. Battery Performance has no issue by far. Thanks!

Thanks! BTW, about the 4.2.2 rom. We are in alpha stage testing. It is now also themed as vanilla android so the team decided to call it GE-ROM too. Maybe it will be 2.0. So far, It is not suitable for daily use. It boots, lags ALOT, SystemUI force closing, and many more other bugs. This will take a while to be completed. The team also has a touchwiz themed stock rom which is currently in beta stage. Maybe will be released to the public soon.

I tested the latest version of this ROM, and the phone lags like hell when I try to open any app, and I get too many FC even in the status bar which lags alot too, good thing is that I get alot of free RAM, but I don't know why my phone lags. I flashed the ROM in a normal way, I wiped everything and made a clean install...

This was the rom by cyberangel22k, it is GEROM. Try it and compare with barrilete. Check on page 28 of this thread.

Barrilete ROM v.1.2 is working great, now I have no lags, no FC. It's very smooth and every feature works just great, even battery life is better, Nova Launcher works good, and so far WIFI, calls, Messages, GPS, Mobile Data, and every Apk installed is working perfectly...Nice work!!! :good:
