Suggestion: when you release a new build/version, please update versionCode (still at 37?), even if you keep the same versionName, so that the update is easily recognized programmatically (by Titanium Backup, for example), avoiding confusion.

If I increment version code I can make confusion with the original Xposed Installer. I prefer not change.

Someone plz provide me the last framework zip... Plz... Thank you ☺️
1. This isn't the thread for the framework, but the installer.
2. How should anyone know which version you need with such little information. You know, different devices need different framework versions...
3. This isn't how XDA works. You should search before you post, as rule which you agreed to while joining this forum.

It's funny when you think about it...

Imagine the possibility of what @DVDandroid was was probably thinking to himself before releasing the installer app.

It was probably along the lines of the same thing i was thinking after he released it...

"oh my... if i release this, i know that every impatient Framework Nougat Nut is going to be asking why it won't work on Nougat..."

It's just funny how so many individuals, who currently (or used to) use XPosed on their Marshmallow still doesn't get that XPosed itself is (in simple terms) in 2 parts. One is the Framework that is the engine that makes XPosed work and the second is the Installer app that is the vehicle that runs that engine.

It's kinda like installing the BusyBox or SuperSU app without installing any of the Binaries and individuals wondering why they're not working.

DVDandroid updated the Material Design Installer app, not the Framework which, if those who read the OP will see the 2 separate requirements.

I apologize but, this conversation is like Einsteins use of the Cosmological Constant that, originally, was used as a filler for one of his Theories of Relativity.

@DVDandroid I've got feedback. Can you add to your installer a notification on statusbar, about new module available (like info from PlayStore). I read about many problems with this option (server etc.), but tell me, please - is it possible via any way? Cheers.

Since no background checks are performed by the installer there's no sense in these notifications.

Just had to reinstall xposed, and on the "click here to go to the right section for your device", it takes me to official, but I'm on MIUI and had been using the MIUI xposed version. I'm wondering if that is indeed an option, and if so, what are the differences, or if this is just an error on the Installer's part?

As you know, rovo89 has released version 3.1 of his Xposed Installer. It's based on my fork, so it contains the improvements that I and @-BioHaZard- added in this version of the installer.

However, you cannot find some features: color picker, installation module with root, and other unofficial stuffs are been removed; features like bookmark manager, download module button are been hidden and these features can come back in future.

This version is marked as UNOFFICIAL now and it will be maintained.

Thanks to all who downloaded this app! :good:

    Source code available here

    ----

Why this version is still maintained? Why are there different APKs that do the same things?
    - Since Xposed Installer app is open source, I think that anyone could make an own version and customize it as you want, like Telegram app. I want to keep updated my app also for a personal satisfaction.
    - There aren't different APKs that do the same things.
rovo89 developed the original Xposed installer. DVDandroid then took his original installer and materialized it and added a ton of new features because rovo89 didn't have the time or just didn't want to work on the installer. Once rovo89 took notice of DVDandroid's materialized installer, he cherry-picked various features and theming and re-incorporated them back into the original Xposed installer. rovo89 credited DVDandroid with the work he had done, but they are not necessarily working together as a team in the traditional sense.

The two versions of the Xposed installer are developed by two different people and provide a different set of features. One is not necessarily better than the other, they are just different and intended for two different audiences.

If you really want the two apps to merge and become one, you really should be posting and talking to rovo89, because he is the only one that has the power to do that.

Here some differences between this and official(s) Xposed Installer:
