pre rooted firmware made by chitgardh in the latter post
I managed to port root files for Galaxy STAR duos GT-S5282 and GT-S5280.
Currently I am not having this phone nor did i have used.
So I cant check and verify this.
I need testers
But I have successfully rooted my device ace duos in the similar way.
So , those who want to root their device , go ahead and enjoy.
Note - I am not responsible for any damage , brick , etc to your device - it is only for person who have done this earlier
and who are curious to play with their phone. Rooting voids WARRANTY but U can always Unroot
Before you can root, make
sure you do all of the
following:
USB Debugging needs to be enabled on your Grand Duos. To do this you will need to go to Settings ,
then Applications ,
then Development ,
and then finally USB
debugging. Check the
box next to USB
Debugging .
Download the following files
"KEEP IN SD CARD DIRECTLY NOT IN ANY FOLDER"
- reboot ur device in recovery mode.. HOW?
HOLD - VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON
Till u get in the recovery mode.
then using The VOLUME BUTTON scroll "up-down"
select - apply update.zip from sd card
scroll down using volume down - select downloaded file
select - YES
And done ur phone is rooted!!
Reboot ur phone.
