AOSP Extended is an AOSP based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

Np7jfnY.png

#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are contsantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is Based on AOSP

-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuffs are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.

-Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
->Yes, full substratum support!

-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps or
->BeansGApps

-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED For N is not out yet. Still in Development. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.

-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

I will give this a try, definitely.
But tomorrow I have a trip and am confident XenonHD will serve just good. So no experiments today. ;)

Before installing this ROM, do i install the Universal bootloader and my model specific modem <A2017U_N_Modem.zip>?
Or do i just unlock bootloader, then install latest version TWRP and clean flash ROM?

@NFound

it's maybe a CAF/AOSP issue, but maybe you can fix this?

If i set the density smaller, the small qs tiles raise to 8!

So far the ROM is smoother as LOS based stuff!

Will set up my phone now completly, and report back later on!

Gesendet von meinem ZTE Axon 7 mit Tapatalk

Try to write about it in the official group AEX and can be corrected...

Do you mean density as in DPI? If so, I like to do that before booting ROM.
After flashing ROM and before anything else, like GApps, I do the following...

Mount /system as read-write.
Open TWRP's terminal.
cd /system
vi build.prop (search for 640. If not familiar with vi you use "/" to search. Cursor will be on 640. Issue command "cw" to remove 640 and type in desired number like 480 or 560, etc. Tap ESC button to exit insert mode. Issue command ":wq" to write file and exit vi.
Note. Do not type any of the quotation marks.
I usually CD back to / for no real reason. Exit terminal.
Unmount /system and uncheck the read/write option.

Now continue to flash anything else.
Sometimes apps or GApps will install a version for a certain DPI so I do this to alleviate any potential issues.

Regarding microG support. It's in 4.3 but is it in this particular build. I can't find anything related to it in Settings. No signature spoofing switch or related items.
A bit confused.

EDIT: Mevermind guys. Once I flashed microG I saw the permission settings for it. microG Settings showed it has all the necessary support. That's cool.

I've been happy with a modified, rooted stock using APEX Launcher, but really like the concept of a functional AOSP ROM as in the old Nexus 5 days. Do you have a review or commentary on this candidate. Sounds as if it could be really good. Thanks.

Does this have the call bug (have to activate and deactivate speaker to hear a call)?
Also, since messing with other ROMs, I've loved the slim recents. Is it available in this ROM? Grid from HTC used to be my favorite. I've always hated the default/immersive recents though.
Also, how is audio quality (volume, distortion, DAC, etc)?
Thanks

I used PAEX (unofficial AEX on OP3) monthes, and its for me one of the smoothest and stable rom out there!Screenshot_20170609-181137.pngScreenshot_20170609-181131.png

For some reason it doesn't detect the first hardware button, the first dot. I'm so used to having that dot being back and the third one being recents. I knew I could swap then, but the first dot doesn't do anything at all. Only vibrates. Just clean flashed this, no custom kernels or anything. Logcat doesn't show anything but i can get a log real quick

It's used as a menu button. But there's a patch somewhere to set it back to stock.

    I repeat for everyone! :)
    The source code for the device tree, kernel and vendors belongs to the OrdenKrieger. I can not take and put someone else's work in the public domain. If you want him to publish it, then write to him. I do not have the right to publish someone else's source code on my own behalf.

    Someone write the moderator and he wrote to me that if I do not upload the source code, then he will close the branch of AOSP Extended. But at the same time, according to the logic, the LineageOS 15 branch should be closed, because the source code is not provided in it. - you need to close all the branches on the basis of Oreo, because the source code was not provided in any of them. Did you achieve this? Stay without support? Then I congratulate you.

    Now about the Android P.
    I already wrote that in the posted on the forum. These sections were also compiled on the basis of the AEX|Havoc source code, which is not ported. Hence, logically, this thread also needs to be closed, with everything that Oki wrote is an absolute lie. This is not a ported firmware, but an image of the GSI, based on my Treble-versions ROMs.

    Well, in conclusion, I ask you not to start a stupid holivar any more, since all you are trying to achieve is the closure of this branch. Be patient and we will certainly post the source code after we wait for the official release from the manufacturer and eliminate the existing bugs.
    All that we do is for you. It is for this reason that I did not want to upload the alpha versions of the Roms.

    I've said everything.
    All good and good mood :cowboy:

    2. Reboot to the new TWRP, click "reboot - EDL"
    3. Download AXON7_GPT_ADD_VENDOR_800MB.zip, extract from the archive into a folder and flash through MiFlash
    4. Boot into TWRP (hold the volume + and the power button)
    5. Go to Wipe - Advanced - put a tick on Vendor - Change the FS and select EXT4
    6. Do step 5 with the Data section
    7. Just in case, we reboot from TWRP to TWRP
    8. Connect the phone to the computer and copy the ROM, Gapps, Magisk, etc. into the memory phone or SD card
    9. Install the ROM, Gapps, Magisk, etc. and reboot.

    10. After switching to Treble under the given instruction it is possible to put any ROMs, incl. not based on treble, incl. drain for TWRP
    To return to the factory state, it is enough to flash any official ROM via EDL.
