Using just NStools to OC now and everything seems to be working fine so far. I guess using both NStools and modules is a bad idea?

Anyone have the same problem: with devil kernel I can control sound effects like bass boost trough voodoo control app, but on semaphore I cant, sound doesnt change???
Somebody may correct me if I'm wrong, but the only case I can thing it's when listening to music. Then the phone will go in deep idle (TOP=off, the same deep idle state with stock GB kernel - if it was enabled).
I read, that in this state it saves up to 40-50% battery.
Everyone seems to forget that the article about di and there being no impact on battery life was later revised by the author where he indeed admits that di has a huge impact on battery life (specifically when listening to music) so yes, you are right stratosk.

Coming from Devil kernel 14.2. Running smooth like 14.2... nice like it.
Whats about batery drain? I read that on this kernel DeepIdle is not Active, and on NSTools i can't find it too. How long is the battery life with full load?
@dev: I can make a Splash Screen image for you if u like. Send me a PM.
I really don't know the benefits of didle.
Sometimes works, need separate framework, break bluetooth ,for some works, for some doesn't.
I would like to have standard oc without live oc.And another thing.I use 90cal_voll from glitch kernel which improves call volume on front and back speakers and increase mic volume.
It would be great to have this thing configurable through semaphore app.
Thanks for your offer, my friend!
I really don't want to bother you making something like this.
malcho made this beautiful logo and at the end I couldn't use it because it's CM9 related.
So, it's a little embarrassing asking you this.
Thanks again.
Also thanks to malcho, NEFart for their logo and for their time and effort.
Hey my friend.
What is your concern about liveoc? stability?
About the script, I think it actually configures voodoo sound settings. But I will look at this for sure.
Well currently live oc is unstable on semaphore but its stable on glitch....not totally stable but yeah, no freezes on high frequencies . Other than that....I think deep sleep is a great feature but its very hard to get it right and working, its like big mem kernels, always break something.
Ups... i make a SplashScreen befor i read your post...
No problem, here is my work, if u like i send it to you.
You mean deep idle.
Deep sleep is supported in every kernel, and if you can't get to deep sleep then you're indeed in trouble with battery life.
As for the effectiveness of deep idle... so far it hasn't be proven to do any tangible improvement, see this:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...ry-study-brings-about-surprising-conclusions/
It might end up like one of those features like ZRAM or BFS scheduler which kernel developers think will be cool but in the end are not suitable for the particular HW of the SGS and turn out to be not worth the hassle and development efforts.
Ups... i make a SplashScreen befor i read your post...
No problem, here is my work, if u like i send it to you.

What can I say? It's excellent!!!
Thanks so much!
Please send it to me.
Now, I have to select among 3 logos (actually 4)...
#!/system/xbin/busybox sh
while true; do
cat /sys/devices/virtual/misc/deepidle/dflags
sleep 1
done
mkdir /tmp/semaphore
cd /tmp/semaphore
git clone https://github.com/stratosk/samsung-kernel-aries
git clone https://github.com/stratosk/ics-ramdisk
cp config_sema .config
make CROSS_COMPILE=/kernels/semaphore_cap/android/android/system/prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.3/bin/arm-eabi- ARCH=arm menuconfig
./sbuild.sh
I'm sorry for your issues.
And I have no more desire to build new versions. At least for now.
