All those random things in the bash are my attempt to type whoami I then realized even once I get which keys I would need I'd still need to find enter
I took the screenshot using Ubuntu, that's why the resolution doesn't match our phones. I then had to figure out where the file is stored, turns out the "native" ubuntu file system is stored on our phones in /data/local/Ubuntu
I'm experimenting now with gScript, it looks like you can just set up a script with
Code:
cd /sdcard/Ubuntu
bootubuntu
and it will run just fine, also much easier than having to type in commands with the on screen keyboard.
EDIT: So, I forgot to mention I'm running this all from the phone, no need for adb shell, just using terminal emulator (though it was implied). No go when running the script form gScript, however...
I was able to reduce the necessary typing to
I used the script produced by gscript (I supposed I could have just written it) saved to SD card (/sdcard/gscript) then copied the file to the root of the phone (which is where terminal emulator starts). Now starting my ubuntu virtual machine is much easier
If you want to use
mine, just remove the .txt extension (XDA no like .sh) bear in mind my ubuntu.img is saved in /sdcard/Ubuntu that capital U should be significant.
