the original wasn't a custom HBOOT, it was a custom MTD.

To revert - download recovery from here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1039954

Then - boot into recovery and format data\cache\system then fastboot flash the recovery you downloaded from the above link. Go back to recovery and again format the data, cache & system.

Then fastboot flash the custom HBOOT image from the V1.1 of this ROM - once done go back into recovery and flash the ROM :)

Exactly right :)

You lose 2 MB with the HBoot, but it makes life a lot simpler. I've used custom MTD's for as long as I can remember but I couldn't release a Hboot without testing.... Now I don't see the point going back to custom MTD.

Just ensure the MD5 matches.

Just realised I am unable to record video. I've tried it at different quality levels and it just freezes (the counter starts) I then have to stop the recording and exit the app - nothing is saved.

I was trying the ManU 1.4 kernel at the time so though it was that, tried it with ManU 2.0 and still the same so I just done a full wipe and fresh install and I'm getting the same result.

Can anyone else test this please? Is this a ROM issue or just my device? :)

Never used fastboot (not that I'm adverse to trying) but can I use android flasher to flash the recovery?

Only just updated to 1.1and I had a problem that I flashed the update then the patch and when it booted all my apps had gone, yet they were still in applications yet I couldn't access them, ended up doing a wipe and starting again. Also had a problem that when I downloaded an app from the market, it downloaded but when it went to install it froze and then rebooted.

Updated to 1.1 earlier today but yet again didn't backup apn so spent the day data less :-( felt like my life had ended!

Working really nice bud. Only things I've noticed so far is the HTC flashlight app no longer works. Have tried deleting and reinstalling and also putting in system/app (which did work on 1.0) but still not working. No biggie as will just use my real torch at work :) Also and this is nothing but cosmetic, when downloading in the market the progress bar overlaps the ratings. They are nothing though compared to how well my phone is running. Had found Gingervillain starting to become a bit chuggy but over the moon with this rom.

Cheers dev ;-)

You can always use the "LED Flashlight" status bar widget in Settings > Interface ;)

:) I'm a bit of a minimalist snob and am not into the power Widgets on my pulldown :)

Have downloaded another that works and also sounds like a stun gun when it starts ;-)

      5, // STREAM_VOICE_CALL
      10, // STREAM_SYSTEM
      7, // STREAM_RING
      30, // STREAM_MUSIC
      10, // STREAM_ALARM
      7, // STREAM_NOTIFICATION
      30, // STREAM_BLUETOOTH_SCO

      HIDDEN_APP:90, 23040
      CONTENT_PROVIDER:100, 25600
      EMPTY_APP:120, 30720

    • Languages are making a come back - compiling this week.

    v 11072011
    • Ported CM7 Lockscreens (rotary, ring etc)
    • Ported CM Phone in order to make above work
    • Port of CM7 VOIP module
    • SIP over 3G
    • Implemented Expandable RAM disk for market downloads

Look under Settings>Lockscreen Extras for new CMy7 Lockscreen stuff.

Before RAM disk, /cache was bound to /data/local so small cache partition could be used. BUT you needed to keep enough free space to store the downloaded app before installation. RAM disk means this is no longer necessary. Now all but 15MB of /data can be used.

New Market Works. No more work around of "chmod 777 /cache" required

***Although extensive framework modifications have taken place, a wipe should not be necessary. However, any issues, please wipe.
Note* 11072011 is English only presently. v1.4 Language packs are NOT compatible. Do NOT try to flash these over v11072011

Also note /system/etc/init.d/95havsvdd script. This sets Manu 1.4 havs voltage to 875 for 128mhz. If you get reboots when idle, edit this value higher in steps of 25

Languages for v1.4 (Work In Progress)

    v1.4

    • Updated SurfaceFlinger in-line with the google 2.3.5 repository
    • Smaller Latin IME keyboard (ROM under 60MB)
    • Reduced font footprint without compromising specific non-alphanumeric characters
    • New "cutting it fine" 60MB system Hboot created

Future updates will most likely focus on bug fixes.

    v1.3
    • Added CM Power button screenshot
    • re-added DroidSansFallback font (3.5MB) to fix non-alphanumeric character issues
    • Changed btn_check_off.png to be visible on whit and black background
    • Lightened notification backgrounds

    v1.2
    • Fixed Video reccoring issue (libstagefright)
    • Fixed Google Nav issue (Tts)

    v1.1

    • Fixed Force close on Settings.apk (statsreceiver issue)
    • Updated seek thumb in framework (see volume settings for example)
    • Created dGB custom Hboot to aid in the installation process.
***See updated installation section in post 1

Reuploaded 1.4 with a smaller Keyboard (thanks Hadron) so now is under 60MB (this is the smallest I have EVER got). You can add the keyboard on your own rather than reflashing 1.4 if you already have it. Its in the apps folder in the first post

New Hboot released with 60MB /system (about 900k free) even after flashing a ManU kernel (1.5MB without). Please check the MD5 if you use it. I HAVE tested it and can report I am currently using it happily.

Format System and Cache before flashing the hboot.

Welcome to the smallest functional ROM on the Desire

    SwitchPro Widget (0,70€) - tested/work
Reboot Widget for root user (free) - tested/work
    Quick Boot (free) - tested/work

With this Widgets/Application you can reboot direct into recovery.

    I prefer SwitchPro Widget...
