I am rooted, s-off, and stock ROM. From what I understand there's a pedometer built into the m8 chip. I understand there's no default app to track it but fit bit is what's recommended. Oddly no matter what my steps aren't logged. Fit bit app says I've done nothing. I walk approx 10-12 miles a day in total. Am I don't something wrong?

You have to pair the phone as a device with Fitbit.

Press the 3 dot settings button, and select devices. You have to basically tell it you do not have a tracker yet, and use the M8.

I can't double check the exact settings as I have already paired mine and without a factory reset I don't know how to unpair my phone.

You should be able to work it out in there though.

First thing you do is set up the device when first using the app
