Running KT747 4/11 on Carbon's 4/13 nightly OC to 1.89Ghz with voltage adjustments, row scheduler, and some VM tweaks as well as build prop tweaks. Ran a benchmark through Quadrant with the Performance governor (but dd the Ktoons governor) and got this:
uploadfromtaptalk1365949686420.jpg

I very happy with how its running, extremely responsive and have had no issues with stability at all. I don't see any slow down with ktoons vs performance and ktoons governor actually benched 52xx or so

Just a bit of a pain to get an invite to the site but oh well. Don't know anyone who would be able to get me in... :|

You have some unnamed people to thank for that; they lied to get access to the site to steal and were caught. So now there are tighter controls to protect the organization from thefts. I could name names but that would just get me a warning / infraction. They are well protected developers. Besides, there has been enough drama so it would be great if they would just let go.

Nobody under my watch is "well protected." XDA enforces the forum rules here and is not responsible for what goes on beyond this site. That goes for the site of which you speak, github, google +, Twitbook, all of them. So as you say let's end this here. PM each other if you want to try to get invites to there.

On another note, I'm on latest goodness with latest stable faux kernel. Guerrilla gadgets extended battery and can barely last half a day 1680/482, on demand and noop. Once I get a decent charge I'm gonna flash Zeus v2. Was getting pretty solid battery on my last Rom with it

Anyways, ignoring all the negative facts and stuff about how to get it and such, I'm curious, how does it compare to the widely available ones that are out now (LT, KT, ect) in your opinion? I've always wondered that since I keep hearing great things about it but never how it compares to the ones that are more widely available. On CleanRom 5.6 since I seem to be getting the best performance out of it but am tempted to give custom kernels a shot again to see if I can get even better performance out of it.

It is very impressive as far as performance and audio quality go. Once you get a chance to try it you will be impressed.

Oh wow, I never was aware that a kernel could actually increase audio quality... Would have been a big deal to me since I'm actually hard of hearing! Although I use acid audio and has worked out rather well.

This thread does a lot of good for members here
What transpired recently will no longer be permitted
There will be no more open discussions about other sites and how to get there or how to get banned from there
If someone asks, will someone please take the initiative to PM them and explain how to get what they want
Have fun experimenting with kernels but please respect the limits here
Thank you for your cooperation

Fair enough, I actually just installed it so I'm curious to see how it does on my phone during the next few days.

Any particular settings you would recommend or just keep the settings as they are "out of the box"?

I would say start with defaults and you can move around from there and see what you like.

Hey bigwillyg Ziggy don't build kernels he just works on his source right? Or does he make builds now?

Sent from my SPH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

Oh that is right. I don't think he releases individual kernels, I think it's just part of his Roms.you would need to check his thread or site.

    Hey guys,

As many of us try out the various custom kernels for the various custom ROMs, we like to share our experiences, good or bad. However the problem with doing this is that we often clutter the ROM thread with unrelated kernel talk.

So here is the perfect thread to share your experience.

ALL THAT IS ASKED OF YOU IS THAT YOU LIST THE ROM AND KERNEL AND THEIR VERSIONS IN YOUR POST AND PLEASE DO NOT POST MIRRORS... JUST LINK TO DEVELOPERS THREAD IF LINKS ARE REQUESTED

    THANK YOU

    Yes, slowly but surely.

It would be a lot easier if there were git patches instead of ring kissing for instructions.

A git patch is worthless if you don't know what it's doing or how.
Give a man a fish (or patch) and he eats (or codes) for a day, teach him how to fish (or how to fix code) and he can eat every day (or fix code on his own).

Silver platter or valuable knowledge :) think on that.

It would be easier if devs paid a little more attention to what they were doing instead of whining about git patches to copy from...

Now... your more than welcome to provide input in this thread but keep your snide and immature, subtle or blatant attempts at insulting others to yourself

I thought I made it clear there was to be no in depth discussion of Anthrax
No discussion of the site it comes from, nor the developer there or his practices!
If you have the Anthrax kernel then you have access to the site, please discuss it there
I will tolerate no disrespect of any developer whether they are on this site or not
Do not come onto XDA inciting any wars about this! What happens there, stays there!
You want to discuss GPL with that developer, make an account there and discuss it with him
Do not post here where only third parties can speak for him

OK, let's not turn this into a huge....thing.
The offending post has been edited by the poster but apparently not before being quoted.
Let's end it here before it gets out of hand.
We can all appreciate an intellectual debate which furthers development
Stick to that. I do not want to see attacks just to prove you can.
