[Q] which is the best ROM for the htc desire?

im going to install a rom for this phone but i dont know which one to get.

No such thing as best rom. You should try and find out. In general though, if you want everything to work as expected, go for an aosp gingerbread rom. Otherwise, for bleeding edge experience but not everything working as in GB, then try any Kitkat roms.

For smooth and stable performance - Gingerbread AOSP. But you'll experience lacks of apps and compatibility.
For apps and compatibility but with some bugs (like not working camera etc.) - Evervolv KitKat.

Best to just try the ones that look good to you and see how you like them.
