My phone have
Custom Binary count: No.
Device status: Official.
In the setting>about device>status>device status:Normal. Now, I'm getting on 4.1.2 from MJ5 4.3. I used the followings

1. flash the respective official 4.1.2 firmware from sammobile.com. after finish flashing , go to recovery mode and wipe data.
2. flash Philz recovery via Odin.
3. install updated 4.1.2 modem (XXDME4 / DXDMF1 / DDMG1) from http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2044937 via CWM (at this step you should get IMEI back.)
4. root the device with CF-auto root.(CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar)
5. install Triangle away to reset flash counter.
6. full unroot super SU
7. wipe all data/factory reset .

Check the device status in setting. And then go to download mode to check again.

I'm not sure is this steps working on every Galaxy note 2 N7100. But actually I've been downgraded to 4.1.2 and I can get OTA also (already checked).

I decided to downgrade my N7100 because most of the custom roms use high RAM usage.

When at the firmware upgrade fail status,

1. Just flash "Philz recovery" via Odin.
2. After finished, Long press Vol up + Home + Power button to get into recovery mode.
3. Choose Wipe data/factory reset and "CLEAN TO IN STALL NEW ROM"

All of this step finished, Go to download mode "Vol down + Home + Power button" and flash the firmware (4.3 or 4.1.2 again).

NOTICE.

Dear all,

The latest 4.3 official firmware (MK4 or later ) has KNOX enabled bootloader and can't be downgrade. So, don't try to downgrade If your bootloader is KNOX enabled.

2. flash Philz recovery via Odin. (I asumme you writed this file philz_touch_5.15.0-n7100.tar.md5
3. install respective modem from http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2044937 via CWM (at this step you should get IMEI back.) what modem exactly?

Remove KNOX bootloader to return to stock - using Dr. Ketan Method

Hi Guys,

I just want you opinion before i do this step. Hence asking :)

KNOX enabled boot loader has messed up my idea of return to Stock either via KIES or via ODIN.

I flashed the official Indian 4.3 ROM on my EU model NOTE 2 over the leaked ROM with MJ5 and it failed. I couldn't recover the phone with KIES either.

KIES will say that firmware update / emergency recovery has encounterd an error.
ODIN says FAIL and "Device Unsupported" appears in Download screen.

Shall i try Dr. Ketan's KNOX bootloader removal method to get my mobile back ? ( http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2500823 )

Can i then flash the original firmware N7100XXDMF1 on my Note 2 (EU version) ?

Would appreciate if you guys could help me on this.

I can still access the download mode with KNOX boot loader.

Thanks

for the questions, regarding to...

1. I used the "N7100XXDME1_N7100OLBDMD2_N7100DXDLK5_HOME.tar"
2. "philz_touch_5.15.0-n7100.tar "
3. I used "modem_XXDME4" and get IMEI back at this stage.
4. CF auto root "CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar"
I will attach all respective screenshots later because of my slow connection :D. ENJOY!

I am using Indian 4.3 rom on my EU device (N7100 Note 2)
It use Know enabled Bootloader.

* When I try to flash MJ5 bootloader with Odin, it failed. (incorrect version)
* When I try to flash EU 4.1.2 rom with Odin, it failed. (incorrect version)

Is there a way to downgrade to EU 4.1.2 rom? I guess NO :)

Right now, there is no way ti downgrade the bootloader once you've updated to the official 4.3... however dr. Ketan said he will start to work on it soon

Same problem here :(
I flashed the 4.3 indian version. After 40 minutes it doesn't finished and my laptop battery is discharged. When i switch on the phone, it shows me the message error "firmware upgrade encountered".
Kies doesn't work.
I'm not able to enter in the recovery mode. I'm able to enter in the download mode. If i try to flash the rom again with odin, it shows me this error:

Any suggestion? thanks

I'm able to flash the recovery thru odin, just do it and now i'm able to boot in recovery mode.
But i'm not able to flash the new rom via cwm because i'm not able to mount the sd card (it works only as usb storage, not as sd card mode and so i'm not able to upload the rom file on it).
I can find a solution for this, but i'm not sure it will work because now i have the knox firmware (warranty bit 1) and it isn't downgradable. Am i right?

thanks

Downgrading from 4.3

so how were you able to dngrade back to 4.1.2? u followed the instructions in the first post?

I don't recall the exact steps, but I flashed my old 4.1.2 stock rom through philz recovery then ran the efs restore through dr. Ketans multi tool. Before the efs restore I would get boot loops at the Samsung logo.

    1. flash the respective official firmware from sammobile.com (What firm you flashed? post please a link)
    2. flash Philz recovery via Odin. (I asumme you writed this file philz_touch_5.15.0-n7100.tar.md5
    3. install respective modem from http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2044937 via CWM (at this step you should get IMEI back.) what modem exactly?
    4. root the device with CF-auto root. (What version of CF-auto root?)

    Thank you for clarifications!

    for the questions, regarding to...

    1. I used the "N7100XXDME1_N7100OLBDMD2_N7100DXDLK5_HOME.tar"
    2. "philz_touch_5.15.0-n7100.tar "
    3. I used "modem_XXDME4" and get IMEI back at this stage.
    4. CF auto root "CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar"

To Downgrade from 4.3 to 4.1.2. I have done this with 100% Success :)

    BACKUP everything. (Important)

Turn ON USB Debugging mode and Unknown sources.

    First ROOT your phone.

Open Playstore and Update SuperSU. Open SuperSU and it will give a message to disable KNOX. Click YES/Ok.

Then install Titanium backup root from Playstore. Open it, go to backup/restore tab.
    Find,
    1.com.sec.enterprise.knox.attestation
    2.com.sec.knox.eventsmanager
    3.KLMS Agent
    4.KNOX
    5.Knox Notification Manager
    6.KNOX Store

Go to each one of it and Uninstall them.

    Next restart your phone.

*VERY IMPORTANT* Now Backup your efs folder by using EFS Professional on you computer (Link: http://d-h.st/Gfo ). Because your imei number will be changed after downgrading. You can easily restore it later.

Now install Mobile Odin Pro from Playstore on your phone. Here is the link.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.mobileodin.pro

*IMPORTANT* DO NOT flash firmware for downgrading with Computer Odin as it will NOT work and it will FAIL. *ONLY Mobile Odin Pro from Playstore will work.

Copy your 4.1.2 firmware to your phone. Next Open Mobile Odin Pro on your phone and let it download some necessary files from internet.
When done, click on Open file and select the firmware. After loading the firmware scroll down and UNCHECK EverRoot(because it cause problems). Then click on FLASH Firmware.

*IMPORTANT* If your phone get stuck on samsung logo. Go into recovery mode by pressing Home+Power+Volume UP keys together for 15 seconds. Click Factory wipe/data and then Wipe Cache. Then Reboot.
Now check your imei by *#06#. If imei is changed then restore it from EFS Professional.
