Thanks. I have no issues with my SD Android with the CHT V2. Lockscreen is only a minor niggle, if phone has been locked for some time, it takes 2 -3 seconds for the lockscreen to appear, but otherwise it is almost instant. X2 task manager possibly is a slight clash with CHT V2, difficult to start without home screen refreshing, again I don't use it that often so can live with this minor irritation. Guess I could create a link to the X2 task manager and start it that way now I have plenty of quick links.

Glad you can cope with these minor issues, but on the other hand I'm convinced that these issues will be solved/disappear when you use 1.8.5.1 instead of 2.0. Of course it's your choice, but if you want a trouble free CHT version .............. And out of personal experience I know that making a quick link of X2 Taskmanager does not work, it's a part of Artemis ROM.

Good luck with making your choice and best regards, Kuzibri

very best regards, Kuzibri

Hello Artemis family,

just a simple question: Does Artemis have a Bluetooth-Stereoprofil A2DP?
I like to use this:

http://www.amazon.de/Wentronic-48928-GB-Bluetooth-Audiotransmitter/dp/B000L34Y4O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337864640&sr=8-1

in my car.

What is your setup here. If you like to stream music from the HD2 to your radio in the car I think you don't need something like that. You should use the built-in bluetooth.
If you use the amazon thing it has nothing to do with de hd2 except for the headphone connection for the music.
So in that aspect my question. What exactly are you planning to do.

You are totally right!
I like to stream internet radio (e.g. "fear.FM" from Holland) from my Artemis V66 to my speakers in my car.
I do not have a built-in BT. Only an AUX connection ...

thanks for sharing. Just out of curiosity: why the One S and not the One X?
best regards, Kuzibri

Hi, I'm coming back last time on the changing phone thing, I really don't want to disturb one of the best tread of XDA, I just want to share my experience of the One X I bought just to make a comparaison between it and the HD2.

for the aspect, it's same size than the HD2, just a little longer, it can fit into the original HD2 case, and goes out less than 1cm. it's thinner, but the first thing that is and makes the difference in my pocket, it's the weight ! Makes lot difference.
the glass is round on the borders so to clean the window it's lot easier.
I miss, oh ya!, the buttoms down like on the HD2, makes it sometimes harder to answer the call when driving or doing things at same time ... you have to use the tactil to aswer, with my HD2 I can do it even throught the leather case ;)
One thing that is really anoying is that the headphone has to be plug on the top of the phone and not more down ... after 3 week I'm still not used to it and really don't like it ! they added a button like on Iphones on to right to switch off the screen. the volume buttoms are on the right side now ... well, why not ?

Stupid idea to make the battery integrated, I really don't follow that apple idea ! It can be a lack for some that are using the phone hardly and that have no power nearby, BUT the phone is new now so it's hold the charge 1,5 day even if I call lot and use it all the day. It will not be the same in 2 years probably ...
the SD card, damn where is it ? ;) integrated ... hmmm
Speakers : wow, incredible sound, beats audio, best sound listening music I ever heard on a phone.
The camera, it was one of the first thing that makes my decision to change the One X, and it's the thing that doesn't makes me regreat the 600 euro buck I put in, better quality, the colors are great, lot damn faster, 4 pics by second, and it's instataneous, but don't think it's a reflex, lot are fuzzy.
The flashlight is lot more powerfull on the HD2 .
The slowmotion camera is not perfect but is fun, and the way you can take pictures during filming a movie or even by looking it is a great thing.

Now Android, well, not really used to it, I really miss windows and even more Artemis ...
the phone is lot faster, never buggy till yet, for now it's all original, waiting maybe Artemis, oh well let me dream ;)
All the configuration are made simpler, the chat messaging is nice but looks like apple one, internet I have to say is lot faster, makes it more easier to go on websites, lot more free apps, and all is easier to be online, facebook, gmail, google+ ...
it was hard to make it sync with outlook, calendar and contacts, but it's was done with HTC Sync that is free, Android Sync looks better but is not free.
The GPS is very fast to be on and the google navigation is not top but enought for now till I get IGO working on it.
Everything is done to make youtube working perfectly on the apps, one thing that was missing me on the HD2.

Well I will stop here, I can't say I prefer One X better than the HD2, I have both still with me, One X for my job, HD2 for personal uses.
I really regreat that they have put Android on it but it's the game, for my part I have the luck to have the both, and I will NEVER sell my indestructible HD2 Artemis protected, and will wait v67 with impatience.

Feel free to delete my post if you think it's not the right spot to be.

Peter thanks for your comparison...
I have also been thinking about a One X but those two things (integrated battery & no SD card) are putting me off.
I was using a One S today in Conrad & I love the Sense intergration & its very fast (even though its not quite a powerful as the One X).

I am favouring the Samsung Galaxy 3, as it has a changeable battery (but also no SD card) but on the Galaxy S1 I hate all of the Samsung apps they fill it up with...
Will wait until its available in Germany to have a play with.

Until then, Im sticking with Artemis as it does everything I need perfectly.
I use the Galaxy S1 then just for WhatsApp.

I've a OneX also and have no problems with what you fear.
How often do you need to change the battery? How often is it a problem? I never had (with the HD2)
The same with a SD card: the OneX has enough memory, more then I need, and I backup "in the cloud" just in case.
So the disadvantages you name are in my modest opinion virtual problems which I don't experience.
Just my two cents
p0p0v83 gives a nice summery, thanks for i. I'm less negative about Android so far. It's new for me so I need to understand and use it the way I did with Artemis, but in potential it isn't inferior (neither superior): it's different :)

Hi H-J,

you're absolutely right: Android is not that bad at all, certainly not ICS, but in a lot of aspects it's inferior to WinMO with Artemis ROM. But all in all, we should not close our eyes for new developments. BTW, using Android is not that difficult at all. It's a bit like Artemis, highly customizable, etc.

very best regards, Kuzibri

You are right, it's only finding the way how to do it. With Artemis I know what to do, in Android it's different and sometimes it takes a lot of time to find out to find the wright button

henk-jan is right on the batery-sd thing. It was the thing I hesitated the most at start, but well it has 32gb integrated, same as I have on the hd2, and with "clouds" or "dropbox" it's ok.
I used to change the batery on my hd2, still doing it, because I do intensive use of my phones, but the one integrated in the one X is good. I did the lithium charges at start, 2 times till end and 2 charges all night, and now I can call something like 3 hours a day, playing with all the things on the phone, takes pics and it hold 1,5 day. I load it all end of the day so it's ok for now, what I said is what will happen in 2 years when the batery will be old, can it be changeable etc ...

Thanks for your reply.
How long did you have the HD2?
How long will it last the OneX will be replaced?
That was my mean consideration: will I keep the OneX long enough before the battery is end of life

i bought a Galaxy note last winter and then a new worl opened to me...

Artemis is a great rome, thgreatest for the HTC hd2 that i use again every day ,but Android is the next level, two steps above...Faster,smoother,with more features and customizations, and developed more and more every day...

HTC or Samsung?
HD2 is imho the best phone ever and i think that htc didn't repeated his perfection in its new phones...samsung with GS2,NOTE and GS3 reached the TOP for the smartphone, and also xda community supportes this smartphone in an excellent Way...

Goldcard method - install Artemis v.4x - v.7x on your branded Leo (no HSPL needed)

I suggest using Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x/v.7x ROM with HSPL4 (HSPL 3.03). So its not necessary to use the goldcard method.

If you want to use the goldcard method please move forward with my guide...

Cause many users ask me how to flash their operator branded Leo (aka HD2) with the goldcard method, I decided to write a short tutorial, which is a little bit different from the others in the forum.

The reason for this guide is that operator branded Leos (e. g. T-Mobile UK, Orange, etc. - see available 3.14 ROMs here!) don't work very well with the great Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x/v.7x ROM until you haven't updated your Leo to SPL 3.03.0000 from 3.14 Stock ROM. Thes simplest way to use the necessary SPL version 3.03 is to flash HSPL4 (HSPL 3.03) on your Leo. Beside HSPL you can flash Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x ROM (which is based on 3.14 ROM), until your operator has not published an official 3.14 ROM, with the goldcard method. With the goldcard method you are able to flash any 3.14 ROM (and older) without HSPL on your branded Leo. Attention: If you use Artemis v.4x/v.5x ROM in combination with HSPL2/3 you will notice some errors like low RAM etc.

If you have an unbranded (original HTC) Leo or your operator provide you a 3.14 ROM, you don't have to follow my guide. Please go directly to the nice Artemis flash tutorial by user scv http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8776196&postcount=26465.

    What you need:

    1. microSD card (some users reported issues with microSD card size bigger than 8 GB - btw. I've used a 2 GB SanDisk microSD card)
    2. The "PSAS" Software: http://psas.revskills.de/?q=node/6 - (RevSkills 2.x free version)

Please read the following lines carefuly! Its important for your success to follow step by step!

    microSD card "flash" procedure:

    1. Download and install the PSAS free Version mentioned above: http://psas.revskills.de/?q=node/6
-- The goldcard generator you'll find on psas.revskills.de is for Android and Windows Phone 7 only!
    2. Backup all files from your microSD card you need later! Please remember that all files and settings from your Leo will lost due to the flash procedure!
    3. Format your microSD card with FAT32 file system.
-- In my experience it doesn't matter if you format it via card reader/Windows or via Leo.
    4. Input the microSD card in your Leo.
    5. Connect your Leo via USB with your PC and choose Active Sync on your Leo.
-- Make sure, that you have access to your Leo/microSD card via Windows Explorer!
    6. Open PSAS with administrative privileges and choose « Hardware Forensics » - « WINCE SD Card Utils ». Click on « Get Serial and Disk ID ».
    7. Notice which Hex-Code is written in the field « SD Card Serial » (CID) by choosing the right size of your microSD card by using the drop-down menu of the « SD Card Serial » field (mostly « Disk ID 07 »).
    8. You now can choose between the following:
      • Very often the CID is 9E000000400000000000020002000000. You can download the goldcard image file for this CID (9E0000004...) here: http://www.oliver-weidel.de/download/htc_goldcard/9E000000400000000000020002000000.zip. After download, please rename the file e. g. to "goldcard.img" (dont try to extract the ZIP-file!) and move forward to step 9.
      • If your CID is not 9E000000400000000000020002000000 than you have the choise:
        a) Buy PSAS licence (30 €) and create a goldcard image by yourself
        b) Write a nice private message to me with your CID ;)
    9. After you generate/receive your goldcard.img, in PSAS go to « Hardware Forensics » - « WINCE SD Card Utils » and click on « Get Serial and Disk ID » again. Choose your microSD card and click on « Write Image File ». Now choose your goldcard image and "flash" it on your microSD card.
-- If you got a message, that its not successful, than close PSAS, disconnect USB from your Leo and connect USB again. Start PSAS (as admin) and try again!
    10. Close PSAS and move forward to the Artemis flash tutorial by user scv: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8776196&postcount=26465

Make sure that you insert your microSD card (goldcard) in your Leo during the flash of Stock ROM - at bullet point 4 in user scv tutorial!

    Questions and Answers:
    • "Is the goldcard method somehow effecting the device? Will I lose my guaranty if I have to send my HD2 back to repair?"
-- No, it doesn't alter the phone, it just bypasses the checks (thanks to user samsamuel). If you have to send it to repair, easily install any Stock ROM from your operator.
    • "HSPL can be removed, but is this really 'debranding' or just flashing on a still branded device?"
-- A goldcard is a microSD card with a special signature in the master boot record, which turns the region check off to flash the HTC device with any ROM. So, the goldcard only temporary disable the region check if the custom microSD card is present in the Leo during upgrade.
    • "Is it neccessary to do task29 anymore?"
-- Using the goldcard method (flash 3.14 HTC Stock ROM) before the SSPL flash (Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x) is the perfect replacement for task29 as it erases every part of the ROM (tanks to user pcwe and Cuthy).
    • "Must the goldcard always be present in my Leo?"
-- No, the goldcard have only be inside your Leo during the flash procedere of the original HTC 3.14 Stock ROM.

Hope this tutorial will help some people. If you need further assistance, dont hesitate to post your problems in the forum.
