why don't you try the modem your friends use.

Can someone mirror the JL5 for Odin file? Multiupload is blocked where I'm at and the current mirror hasn't uploaded the JL5 modem yet.

I am using Axura 2.2.5.9 + Voodoo with my unlocked vibrant on at&t. I have tried JL1 and it doesn't work. I have been using JL5 and is seems to do well. I have flashed to JK6 and it picked up HSDPA very quick. Only time will tell on battery life.

Hey guys just got a Vibrant yesterday and wondering what you guys thought the best modem to flash would be?

Probably going to flash a 2.2 rom tomorrow.

I dont have any data, so I'm looking for best signal and battery life.

    Out of all the 2.2 modems, JK6 is deffinately the best. I used ODIN to install JL1, it is horrible. Jk6 I had the best battery life, and the STRONGEST 3G signal. Since flashing JL6 I'm constantly on edge again. Going back to Jk6!

    well the modem controls voice and data connections.
    so a good modem would give you a steady internet connection, a better signal, and can help improve battery life.

    Just because a modem is newer doesn't necessarily mean it's better.
