Hey eveyone,
i'm planing to get a 2x too :) that's why i plan to port CM when noone has done so until then. That's why i mailed LG to ask for the kernel sources or when they will release them on their open source portal.

That's the respone:

Sehr geehrter Herr ...,

As they responded in german, here the important part translated:

We don't have any information about that from our parent company in korea.

Very disappointing answer :(

Just requested the code from LG-Denmark and pointed out that much of the code falls under the GPL.

Awaiting reply.

In Denmark a couple of DTH providers almost ended in court because they didn't release the source for their STB's running linux.

I hope this will make LG-Denmark take the request seriously.

I think we should all request it, if they recieve alot af requests, they will have to respond.

http :// www .lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource.js

On that page, select mobile phone, search for su660, source code...

downloaded it, it contains android.tar.gz and kernel.tar.gz

enjoy!

edit: guess someone other than me also noticed: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=994820 :D
