awesome, as a side note, the devices that they list 1-5 on the netflix page correspond with the libs.(2 was just the generic one i found on the epic that let it run correctly.**without video playback on the epic.
the default is client1 it appears that the cm7 OMX Enumerator has a patch that shows drm.play as a "device" that lets most cm7 modded phones and tabs work(which is why the build prop on those work)
or it's using the libplayready.so and libplayready_ini.so that GB has in the /system/lib but froyo wont load them.
I can't track down where it gets enumerated though so i can borrow the lib from the GB release or from cm7.
Any ideas?
I took a quick look in the apk file and I'm not seeing that specific error, so I'll have to dig more.Ok I get this error (new error , initlaly Id get 'device not supported' using the native app)
'You cannot watch Netflix from this location'
I am in canada, but I am subscribed to usvideo.ca which passes my router through a USA DNS, so i can view VUDU, Netflix (American version), Hulu on my PS3 and desktop normally
SO this app must be doing a different check on my mobile to find out my location is actually canada, im assuming you can easily disable this check too ? (like you did for the device check)
Hopefully! Would be nice for the many canadian netflix users
Cheers and I would like to donate for your work
Two devices... chipmunk effect on G tab with CM7 nightly 72 (device check disabled), 1005 error on Vibrant with Bionix-v (mod-2). So so very close on the Gtab! Exciting to see progress anyhow.
go to nightly73 and just do the device htc vision and manufacturer HTC build props.
thats all i did for it work perfectly on the gtab

I have edited some xml files to add screen rotation while browsing or streaming. I have also altered the loading screens to GREEN, ORANGE, PINK, and BLUE, along with keeping the Netflix RED. The icons are created by me and correspond to the color of the loading screens. Nothing else has been touched.
>Updated to new version 1.3 (7/20/2011)
>Enabled Rotation
>Changed loading screen to Red, Green, Orange, Pink, or Blue
>Added custom icon with android logo: red, green, orange, pink, or blue.

For those that cannot stream, please try this app and PM me results. Thanks.
The current 'HD' Netflix apps floating around xda have been proven to be nothing more than some WM Codec files copied and pasted into an android app. It was proven that they provide NO added functionality and that no changes to the app were actually made [besides rotation]. Use the 'HD' apps at your own risk, and if you have extra space to spare.
Netflix will soon actually support 1080p streaming!
"Netflix streaming at full HD 1080p resolution on Android mobile devices could be with us imminently, with the news that Texas Instruments‘ OMAP4 platform has become the first to be Netflix HD certified. OMAP4′s combination of 1080p-capable dual ARM Cortex-A9 cores and the M-Shield security technology were apparently enough to convince Netflix that not only was the platform good enough to deliver Full HD, but in a way that would stop nefarious users from ripping the high-def clips and sharing them illegally."
When browsing your que and any movies, by default you are stuck with portrait mode. When streaming you are stuck in landscape mode.
Enabled rotation means when you turn your phone while browsing/streaming, the app will change its orientation. i.e. browse in landscape stream in portrait.
These first three are the files from the first post: I have only enabled rotation in them. Everything else is exactly as it was.
