tytung rom is "heavier", it requests 200mb partition size and looks to me a little faster compared to this one, but because of the biggere partition size it remains less space for apps even if you use a2sd option. i had a couple of fc's during one day i use it.
there is not much to say as long as tytung rom is the base for xylograph rom, but both of them looks promising for new "youth" of our hd2's

I did. I probably will get used to it..
One other question, about the Dutch language. Is it correct that the Dutch spell check is not working? On tytung's ROM, I can download and enable dutch as an input language and also download the dictionary. But it never works. Is this a ICS thing or a CM9 bug?

I think I will keep this ROM for now. It's been good for the past hours. Need to check battery drain though..

Thanks for testing.. I am still searching for a compatible LatinIme (keyboard) which have both dictionaries included so you'll have your spell check.. For now (also to safe space) there is no dictionary included yet, but hope to include it next update.

^^^You will, look at it like its a new phone, only touch buttons. Its actually pretty cool, and it will save life on your phone! :)

Nice rom here, very quick for me and besides known bugs it all works great for me!

Any possible way of putting the third icon on the lockscreen like some ics roms have? Weird how some do some dont. And camera there is useless for me :(.

Good rom anyway though, nice work!

Thanks, I will try to include some more lockscreen options next update.. It's on the 'todo' list aswell as english/dutch dictionary and battery percent ;)

wow, didn't see this rom coming..

I had juuust installed tyung's CM9.. can anyone compare them ?

Xylograph, are you planning on updating this rom pretty often ? if so, i guess i need to reflash and re-intall everything all over again..

awesome work mate

Yes, I think this rom will get regular updates untill everything is working as intended, but stay with Tytung CM9 for a while before consider reflashing... there is not much difference for now and see for yourself how much you like CM9.

cannot use flash player

Yes I know and thought this was a known issue by now... anyway I added it to the buglist ;)

how to get them back?

Edit: i took a screenshot and after that the symbols were shown. weird.

and further the button for the taskmanager doesnt work. its now binded to context menu.

how to get the taskmanager back?

Edit: i know now holding down the home button shows the taskmanager, but i want back to default. could you teach me how?

Statusbar issue information is on the 1st post...
I don't really understand your issue with taskmanager.. Do you mean recent apps ? Anyway, please visit gogodu5sU thread for more information about the soft keys.

thanks i will check your link out.

i mean the right softkey which is usually the softkey for the task switcher (or in GB roms called recent apps) yes.

in your build its binded to the context menu and i want them to bind to recent apps

edit: yeah i think i have to look deeper into modding the file provided by your link.

do you have a link or tip where to find the AOSP+ Tweaks?

Thank you for the great ICS build! The lcd density really makes it better to navigate with the soft buttons. Not having to use button savior is much better!

Overall usability is daily driver level IMO.

Holding the soft home button for task switching is not a big deal for me.

I just put this ROM on my HD2.

Steps taken:
- Task29 (HD2 Toolkit)
- Install MAGLDR (HD2 Toolkit)
- Repartition using Magldr_Recovery_5.0.2.7_IceCreamTosti_v0.1.rar
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Flash your ROM

First boot went rather fast (edit: second attempt flashing it took only 3 min from reboot to android start screen where one should select language).
Selected dutch language
No settings done at date/time/region
No google account settings done
Name entered (first name / last name)
Then the screen showed what seemed to be live background which moved for about 2 seconds and then got stuck..... really stuck. Only batter removal worked.

any ideas?

[edit]
Funny, second attempt went well. Didn't enter any information except selecting dutch language and accepting google things. Now I did get in the home screen.....
Could my name (used dots and a comma) be the problem?

Thanks for this ROM.
Everythings works well for me.
Like it , especally for the small system partition.

One problem:
When i want to desinstall the soft key with the zip, i have no more dpi to 192.
No way to go back to this resolution.

Keep going . waiting for the next release with multilnguage.

Thanks

Great to see you here for ICS lite again. Question before try it out, can this Rom work with any app2sd script? Will it be low volume issue if I move dalvik cache to sd-ext?

To be honest I have no idea what could have been the problem for you... It seems a flash is never the same ;)

Anyway I will have a look if skipping setup cause any of these problems..

If this happens on tytungs cm9 rom it will most likely happen on this one..

I still do not recommend people to use a2sd scripts and don't understand the need for it... There is already an option to move an app to sd within android ??

Ok... thank for your reply.
I'll try this tonight and let you know. I've been using tytung's ROM (both ICS beta and CM9) for 2 weeks now with 40a2sdx script due to its large partition and lot of apps I have.
However, Redux2 and CM7lite are my favor. :)

Dear Xylograph, I test your ROM already and it's real fast and good. However, I'll need to check back again since I need Thai language support for contact/fb/whatsapp/LINE/and so on.... SO Sad.. :(

Let try multilang and I'll test it again.

I just PM to you.... please help.

Please try to insert DroidSansThai.ttf in the system/fonts folder from a different rom

If that doesn't work copy the fonts folder of tytung cm9 to this rom and adjust your system partition size as needed.

copying font should work, I tried that way to fix the chinese font problem few days back,

Download the tytung rom from the other ICS thread, that should be ok...

I think it's done now. Thank you for your advice. Loading my app back and seem to work faster than previous ICS that I've tried,

BTW, the icon and status bar are very small. How can i change it to bigger size?

Glad to see you are back. If this ends up at least as fast, reliable and battery friendly as Redux, than it will earn its place in Rom Hall of Fame :)

market works fine for me i'm on version 3.5.19 no crashing you might try going to settings/apps and find the market and clear its cache

Edit I made a little banner for this rom if anyone wants to use it feel free :)

    Thanks man,

    Very cool banner ;)

this rom is dying .. the update made it worst . market crashes, laggy, crappy launcher, buttons are way big for call and random reboots.. Plz Keep it simple Next Update All the extra is not needed . too much bugs . ROMS GOOD But Your Killing It bro .

Do you have any idea what you are talking about ?

This is AOKP and most of 'the problems' you are talking about (except the occasional hot reboots) are either user or AOKP related and not me killing it BRO..

If you don't like the latest updates feel free to use one of the other 20 aokp versions I've made available for the HD2 users or check one of the other perfect roms..

I have decided to put this rom ON HOLD until I find a way and time learning myself to build this thing from source so I can decide myself what to include and especially what NOT to include, since I am also not happy with the current state of AOKP in general..

For now.. I want to thank all loyal users for the great time and I hope you have enjoyed it ;)

DONE, fixed camera, color banding, google maps :D
