How do I get the SMS app to go into dark mode? I've tried ticking the box in it's settings and it just stays light. Have even killed the process..

is it not working yet?

Okay. Another dumb question...

I have notification volume up. I have a default notification sound. And then in the messaging app no matter what I change the notification sound to it still says "Silent" after I select it.

No other app is doing this besides the messaging app. I'm on 2/24. Can not get my text app to produce sound. =(

I can find no faults yet in this rom after a day. Great battery life, fast, BT working great, GPS fine. So nice to be back on CM.

Great job!

I figured out what the problem was with my messaging app. I had the profile set to night apparently. And even though that lets you change the volume and brightness and settings of everything else, it doesn't let you let your messages make sound no matter what you do. Not good. Would be a lot better if you could have it just lower or silent not forced silent. The ringtone doesn't function this way, nor does any other notification, no reason the messaging app should work this way alone.

So even if you go into the night profile and edit the notification sound override to something other than 0, when you get a notification the phone doesn't play a sound?

I made the plunge over the weekend and haven't looked back. I was using CM10.1 on my Epic. So now I'm back with my Note II. BT, GPS and WiFi tethering are working. The latter was really needed when my cable modem went on the blank.

Edit: I'm on the 2/26 nightly and the camera works also.

Here as well. Had much better battery life on older builds even with all location services on. That seems to be my main killer and even with Google Now off as well as all location services, it is noticeably less on 2/24 build. Still a solid daily driver.

Does the camera still freezes when trying to auto focus by tapping the screen then taking a pic? And hows mms is it working? Those 2 kept me away from staying on this ROM unfortunately

Fixing permissions corrected the problem with the autofocus issue. I use Go SMS to address MMS issue.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:

If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

Screenshot thing is a known issue.

Also, guys I'm glad your all crazy about the CM10.2 thing but this is still the 10.1 thread. So can we please keep it on topic?

I'll start a cm10.2 thread shortly with builds. the screenshot issue is because of the "legacy" mali gpu blobs. until we get blobs that work properly with 4.3 there will be graphic issues
