You're right, the official do that and in my case videos start at 360p then it automatically switch to 720p

I had this app installed before I wiped my phone. I just downloaded again and it seems the layout and the Google sign in screen looks like from KITKAT days. When I had it the app the same interface as the most recent YouTube. But now it looks like old style interface and sign in. What's going on?

I think the new UI still depends on a server side switch, so after a while it should change back to the new look.
But even my Google services login looked like the kitkat style

This is the first video I am not able to download and now I can no longer download any Vevo (or other copyrighted) videos... BOO!
GREAT NEWS!!! After updating Google Play Services to 8.1.05 (2218116-036) the problem with the decoding of the video for download has been solved . I am using Youtube for Rooted devices and xposed sign-in fix. So i suggest anyone who had the same app version and the same problem to update their Google Play Service to the latest and maybe you get lucky too
I also upgraded to Google Play Services 8.1.0.5 but I still cannot download copyrighted videos without getting the java.lang error. Other videos download without any problems. Therefore, this behavior may be intentional.

YouTube Away doesn't seem to work for OGYouTube, just the official YouTube app.
I already use the Module and am getting ads since yesterday but ill try downgrading and report back.
I use the nonroot version, and I am on the latest update.
How to install the Xposed version? I deinstalled and deactivated the original Youtube app but it still gives me an error when trying to install OGYoutube. "Couldn't install the app" - just that. Am I doing something wrong, do I need to install it via Xposed and not like a normal .apk or something? Thanks in advance!
