so it's the signing problem, I fix it nowCM9 should work as I am using both the MiExplorer and CM9
The apk cannot be simply installed in CM9, as I am always told 'Application not installed'.
The apk can be installed by my method posted on the previous page. And the MiExplorer works excellently.
That's the good idea. I start to work on that now.I dont find 'open' or 'open with' for the files, can we have text-editor or just open with so that we can access the files with respective applications?
thank you so muchIt is really nice to see a dev who listens to posts with request and it is so quick to act upon them!!
"Open As" menu item added, enjoyI dont find 'open' or 'open with' for the files, can we have text-editor or just open with so that we can access the files with respective applications?
Thanks. Will down load the latest. In case of root explorer, if we click on zip file it automatically allows unzip and opens the file, can we also that feature here.
Sent from my MB526 using XDA App
yes we can. I'll work on that on tuesdayThanks. Will down load the latest. In case of root explorer, if we click on zip file it automatically allows unzip and opens the file, can we also that feature here.
thanks for your reply. I should think about thatTested the latest, looks great. IM still not able to edit text files,I only have view mode, can we embed text editor into this.otherwise we need quick office or similar application to do this job. It will be easy if we have 'open with text editor' option.
thank u so muchi think this software now deserves to be in the market/play. the updates a frequent (thanks to the dev) and manual update is a teeny bit difficult (i am so lazy)
thanks for this wonderful file explorer.. works awesome on my ics.
has anyone posted it to xda portal?
Edit:
never mind.. i reported. lets see if it gets published on the portal
No need to mention the last time it was updated, in an email. It could potentially come across as rude (regardless of intent) plus I'm pretty sure Hootan knows when they last updatedShould I send him a mail and ask him, why the last update is +7 months ago? This would be cringe.
I don't see how security can be a concern. He currently has random machines using the username which is the adminstrator of the system running the server. A username with no password.
When you set up a server, do you have to tell the server which usernames are allowed to be used from a remote client? So a new username is not automatically usable?
Even with that, and the extra awkwardness of him using a Live USB without persistence, he said he runs a script to start the server. Shirley the configuration file you remember is read when the server is started, not when the host boots. It can't take more than three years to learn enough "sed" to make the script modify the configuration file before launching the server.
What's the problem with the app that you need addressed? That would be a start point for any email to the developer, use the app or don't, you ain't due anything, even with the app in its current 'state' I would still buy the playstore version to support any future development, it's not the end of the road for this puppy.Should I send him a mail and ask him, why the last update is +7 months ago? This would be cringe.

There was a beta posted in November that you may want to check out if you haven't already, none of us for sure know if development is at an end, what we do know is that Hootan the developer can be away from xda for long periods of time, and as I said before the app in its current state is well worth the price.I try this file explorer and like it very much. I always wanna support the dev's and buy the app or send few bucks. The problem here it looks like the project was dead.
When new Android version is released like Android 15 but over a half year no updates it feels wrong to support it.
On Google TV I only find a bug (scan lan network storage crash), rest works fine, on tablet and on smartphone.
The project is far from dead. HootanParsa regularly takes extended breaks from XDA, months at a time sometimes, but is brilliant with catching up with feature requests/bugs/etc. when they return. For the extent at which most users will use MiXplorer, everything still works great. Obviously there may be some niche issues and the odd request here and there but everything works more than fine, for the most partLooks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
Ok guys, thanks. I'm feeling lazy to search and read rn
Help me be my search engine one more time, any other recommended root file manager for a14?
Hello and good morning, @ledagiwMy guy, my savior. Thanks

Xda search is junk, can't search if not login (i browse on incognito), timeline is messed up
Also i didn't mean to offend anyone, since the burger isn't available
It's irrelevant why you don't want to follow the rules but if you don't it will eventually lead to consequences to your account. I'm convinced this is something you want to avoid.1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
Your post is no. #43,838. That's a strong indicator for the passion and long standing development and support from the developer - despite some breaks in between. You'll have difficulties to find another app having a longer history than MiXplorer. And of course, I cannot speak for the developer, but I'm quite sure, there will be updates in the future. So there are good reasons to support the developer now and in the future.Looks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
You said "use an alternative" in your post.
Is there any possibility to open a different viewing app out of MiXExplorer instead of ImageViewer which would allow swiping through the whole folder?
If I click "open with" and choose Google Photos for example only the one picture opened opens in Google Photos and I cannot swipe through the whole folder like I can in ImageViewer.
Go ahead, ban me. Reason: not use search function
That would be the greatest joke of all time to tell my grandkids
And don't be weak by deleting post instead of addressing the issue, this site obviously horde justice warrior, with the guy inisiated the quarrel, yet you only delete mine.
