I had the same, but i calibrated my battery and now it works like almost 2 days, without sending too much sms, if i send a lot sms it lasts a day.
Try it: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1024867
Still don't last so much like MiniCM7, my friend's phone lasts 3 days with a regular use, but it's better than 20h of battery :)

It worked for me, i'm referring to the speaker that plays music, not the one that you use to ear phone calls, if you know what i'm saying.

I'm refering to the speaker of plays music too, and it works very bad when I raise the volume

So do what i said, go to DSP manager on the speaker section. Disable the bass boost, activate equalizer and choose a preset that says Low Bass or something like that. Or choose the User and you draw the equalizer curve, on the left, the first 2 points you pull all the way down. and and the 3rd one a bit down too. And it should work.
I can't send you some screenshots because, since i don't ear much music on the speaker phone, i uninstalled the app to get some extra memory and battery life. But before i uninstalled i tried and it worked.

battery

noticed that my battery is losing 5% per hour wherein with minicm7 2.1.9 it would be 3% per hour. could it be i never removed dps manager? i never removed it because it is utilized by cm9 music player and apollo as well. :(

If you don't costumize the DSP Manager settings, you can remove with no problem, I removed and I can listen to music as well, using apollo or Winamp in my case. :)

wanna help us to increase battery life ?

Dear mimmi users, you wanna help us to increase miniCM9 battery life ?

here is a simple protocol to find if some conditions can or not increase battery life without messing up everything else

atm, we will see for gsm standby that seems to extremely eats battery when phone is idle

____________________________________________
we have 3 condtions to test :

in the build.prop you'll find the following :
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

here are the 3 conditions :
1/ keeping as it is:
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

2/ add "qcomuiccstack"
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall,qcomuiccstack

3/ delete "signalstrngh" & add "qcomuiccstack"
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,datacall,qcomuiccstack

here is the protocol :
for each :

  • fully charge,
  • use by the same way the phone for each (same phone call length, same web browsing length, same idle time while sleeping at the same place ...)
  • try 3g,2g,gsm,wifi,bluetooth,FMradio and all regarding connectivity for each
  • keep idle for at least 8hrs (and about the same time for each condition)
  • take a screen shot for each when about 10 battery % are left :)
  • on each screen shot, place numbers and comment the way you used the phone at each graph inflection or state (idle, wifi, 3g using, phone call ... )

here is the way the 3 screen shots should look like :
batteryexperience.png
*

on this screen the phone never really went idle properly and i used airplane mod, this is not how you should proceed, this is just an example of the way i would like to see the numbers ;)

you should proceed in similar way for each 3 condition so that the results can be comparable and the conclusion accurate!

the more people will do the test properly, and the more precisely they will do, the more accurate will be the results.

thanks for helping us !

have a nice day

When do you get force close? every time you turn on your phone? or every time you try to install an app? through the computer or on the phone?

Of course that the speaker sound is not so good like on GB, becasue it is much lauder than on gb. In my opinion that is not bug, that is hardwere. If i connect to extern speaker my sound is nice at max voulme and also lauder than if i connect my phone when I using minicm7.
He only can decrease the max amplitude of increase volume.

Hi, mat, in last two days I was playing with various ril-related things myself /you can recall I insisted it has to be something in that way/, actually I compared them between miniCM7 and 9 and what I saw /except for other things/, was this line in build.prop:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

... as you can see, just the first word removed, nothing added. I´m testing it, seems promising so far. Will post back later.

Help please... it's stuck at Naa logo :(, with gb one it was solved using "power off" in recovery but here there's not this option.

I wiped everything, I'm using the ics kernel..

EDIT: Solved! corrupted zip file. Recopied it to SD and it works fine.

Mat, the setup from my previous doesn´t work. Searching on.

Just one suggestion:

Would you consider adding this question to your test protocol ?

- My baseband is:

2.1.1.A.0.6

or

2.1.1.C.0.0

We know from Slade87´s Gintonic times that they require different librils.
/radio interface layer libraries/

ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall

you can't delete the bold word, this is needed for the SIM to work

2.1.1.A.0.6 isn't a baseband, but yes, we can consider this too,
i was using 2.1.1.A.0.6 and not 2.1.C.0.0 when i started using customs

if you have time to compare both, i would be happy :) (i have no time to try by myself)

_______________________________
i had no time to perform full test, so this is just a preview :
  • for very early results (temporary), i feels that condition 2/ doesn't improve anything (just fix the PIN network)
  • i don't think there is much difference between 3/ and 4/ (they both have 0dBm problem)

2/
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,signalstrength,datacall,qcomuiccstack
: letting phone idle for the night
AuW8_itCMAAiojO.png

but displays properly the dBm :
AuW-wmcCIAEPwv7.png

4/
Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=1,icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,datacall,qcomuiccstack
:
just to show the 0dBm problem (due to no "signalstrength" argument)

    Performance
    MiniCM9 along with the nAa-ics kernel, includes some interesting performance improvement points:
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> CPU governor and frequency --> SmartassV2 is suggested. Overclocking can be set as higher as your device can take
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> Undervolting --> Enable this to get better battery life
    • System -> Performance -> Memory management -> zRam (Compcache) --> By default this is set to 18% in order to provide more physical memory (RAM)
    • System -> Performance -> Kernel samepage merging -> Enable this to get smaller memory footprint due to memory sharing among apps (Note that this might increase battery consumption)
    85
    Components

    ### Built from sources
    * libaudio
    * libgralloc
    * hwcomposer
    * libsensors
    * liblight
    * fm Radio
    * camerahal
    * libcamera
    * bluetooth

    ### Done
    * Camcorder
    * HW Video encoder / decoder

    Hello pro community ;)

    MiniCM9-3.0.1 is released today for the x10mini pro.
    This is a team effort so you should be thanking everybody: Implementation-wise D_d is making the visuals and preparing the MiniCM9 theme that will be included in upcoming versions. Testing and support-wise matmutant is doing an excellent work. Specifically for the pro, many thanks to leajian and siddardha21 for their device-specific testing and suggestions.

    Note that CM9 is still very young and there are still a lot of bugs to be fixed and features to be implemented. Please only contribute positively to the discussion, try to find fixes / workarounds if you can and suggest them to the rest of the users. As always I'm open to patches and suggestions.

    Enjoy you camera with ICS :D
