Hello friends.

excuse me for my english, this text i write which google traslate :(

Ultra Hyper Mega'm desperate, apparently something I did wrong, and although I can still enter the download mode, but when any flash ROM, it may be, flashing the screen stays black when odin ends, not if any of you this has happened to them, everything began to want to try removing the NLK (Network Lock) try this after I lost my IMEI, after that I had a thousand problems with gingerbread, and then trying to go down and see froyo trying to get my IMEI place the command to dump the vndata invested (actually this is a file in dev/block/stl5

So what I did was instead of putting

if=/dev/block/stl5 of=/sdcard/stl5.rfs

place

of=/sdcard/stl5.rfs if=/dev/block/stl5

ACE back with a brick and q do not know more.

Help Meee: (

It's the same (if=this of=that <=> of=that if=this).

Using dd to back up efs partition (stl5) corrupts it (probably due to faulty Samsung design). Doing it twice corrupts it more. Also, you've overwritten your backup with a corrupted one. Only known solution is claiming you warranty.

thanks for replying.

try, making the warranty, but I have a question, what is the correct procedure to extract the file without corrupting stl5.rfs, my idea was only to extract and read the file for the number perso.txt unlock network.

I very much appreciate your help

Go on, brick your phone.

ODIN can't flash efs in Galaxy Ace, because there is no slot assigned to it in cooper.ops

If you don't have a good reason/knowledge to do it, don't touch it.

Well, as i don't know much about Ace, could you guys give me some hint?

I was going to Flash the Villain Rom on this Ace, but the process resulted in an fail when ODIN was Flashing copper.ops. Since them the screen is all black, no Download mode and neither odin finds it.

I will take it to Samsung Service today, but is there another option?

Can u tell us what u do when flashing villain.. Coz so far the only way to get hardbrick like yours is when u put the wrong file in Odin or if u use ROM manager..

    How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace

    If your phone doesn’t boot into download mode and you have a black screen after flashing froyo heres how you unbrick it, it worked for me :).

    Step 1 – Prepare odin with the firmware u want to flash (in my case was gingerbread 2.3.3) and get it ready to go;

    Step 2 – Remove battery and connect your galaxy ace to the computer;

    Step 3 -- Insert battery holding Volume down + Power + Home

    Step 4 – At this point Odin should have detected your SG Ace ( Yellow rectangle should appear);

    Step 5 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.

    If all goes well it should come back to life. :):D

    Get the roms from sammobile site.

    Be sure that you download de correct firmware for your device version.

    That's probably the most stupid thing to say if you want them to fix your phone -. -

    I hard bricked my phone once with rom manager, "it fries " the motherboard, so i sent it for guarantee to technical service and i told them that i was listening music and suddenly the phone turned off. The change it for a new one :)
    P.D: show yourself as a noob that only uses the phone for music and facebook
    If you say that odin thing, dude then forget inmediately any chance of guarantee repair cause flashing or do all those things that we do with our aces are not covered by guarantee, its obvious btw dont you think?
    PD: remember soft brick like bootloops etc, can be fixed flashing again.
    Hard brick like phone doesnt turn on, i mean really dead = dead motherboard or something like that
