Anyone have success with a Wallet installer app? Or some batch process to automate this? I flash ROMs pretty regularly and find myself editing build.prop over and over again. There has to be an easier way.

Prl91 made a cool app here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2044359
You still need to manually update the build.prop in some cases (e.g. Task's ROM). I run task/kt so I am looking for a more complete solution.
I am running the same. Maybe we can convince Task to bake GW into the ROM?
Does anyone know,
Google wallet works only in places where they have the sign for Google wallet accepted, or at any place they have fast pass nfc scanners at registers?

Anywhere they have the scanners.

So I tried wallet (latest from OP) in a place where they had a scanner (jumba juice, old navy, and one other place I forgot) I can see wallet app trying to put transaction through, then says check with cashiers as it did not get status... cashiers said it did not go through. Transaction history confirms, that attempts did not go through.
Using wallet on scanners that actually say "Google wallet" works every time (like at Peets coffee)
So, I ask again, is it suppose to work anywhere where they have nfc scanners at registers or only where it says Google wallet?

What type of card(s) do you have configured in wallet?I use it at Jamba Juice frequently, also at cvs, mcdonalds, and jack in the box.

Are you trying to run your card as Debit? If so, it will not work. All cards used through Google Walket MUST BE RAN AS CREDIT.
No as credit, I don't even have an option to run it as debit

Finally did this on my PAC-man ROM. I have an ISIS sim, so I'm not sure what to expect. Will the NFC work? I heard people were having problems.

Try the following:
***Note*** If the ROM your are flashing is TouchWiz-based for step 5 you need to flash one of the below for your device BEFORE step 6 and then continue.
- Force Stop on Wallet app
- Clear Cache and Clear Data on Wallet app (in Application manager)
- Delete all traces of it from both locations /system/app and /data/app/ (might be called Wallet.apk too)
- Reboot
- [OPTIONAL] Flash a fresh version of your AOSP-based ROM (no wipe required)***
- Push the apk from this link and set the permissions (DO NOT OPEN IT YET!!)
- Reboot
- Open the Wallet app and set everything up
- Check what Tap and Pay says in "About" section of the app
- Confirm what happens on transaction

const-string v0, "Nexus 4"
Changed the lines, forced stop, cleared the data, deleted the com.google.android.apps.wallet folder in /data/data, rebooted and it went through. I am not sure that all the other steps were necessary but I did so just in case there was a trigger stored in a data file somewhere.
