Great. I was planning on it and so I haven't put any more (what would become futile) effort into the current 2.3 release of Hangouts.
It appears as if Google is doing a staged rollout of Hangouts 2.4. I have not yet received an update from the store. The general policy when it comes to apps that have Xposed mods is to avoid updating until the author confirms it works. Or make a backup, test it out, and restore if needed.

How does XHangouts behave in Vcards received via MMS? Currently when I receive (and send) a Vcard, hangouts neither doesn't let me see the content of it nor download the Vcard:
XHangouts shouldn't be touching vcards. Did it work previously? I didn't know Hangouts supported vcards... There's certainly no in-UI option to send them.

I witnessed this myself... friend using an iPhone sent me a vcard and since I switched to Hangouts for SMS/MMS I was not able to do anything with the vcard. Clicking it did absolutely nothing...
Sure, but was this before XHangouts? It might be something I'm able to add, but it shouldn't be making anything worse.

Sending them may be troublesome, but opening them may be possible.
For the record, all other feature requests are on the backburner at this moment. Working on actual MMS fixes.

if you can get vcard to work (i.e view its content, download) within hangouts MMS it would be really grand. there are a metric tonne of horrible "vcard app"s which are waiting to be eliminated by this feature
i don't know about the US but in denmark, MMS is mostly used for sharing contacts. just my $0.02

Is it possible to add a feature that allows you to attach a file 'AFTER' you start typing, because once you type the first character the attach file icon “?" disappears. Thanks for fixing the bugs with this great mod.

Does this solve the problem of receive MMS messages from others? I don't receive them for days sometimes. I thought it was a Hangouts problem and switched back to regular messaging app on LG G2 and still have that issue.
I wish I could use this module, but it has a weird bug for me.
When I send a text that is too long it is broken into 2 or more messages and reassembled, but now it sends the end of a random old text instead of the second half of the current text.
If I had sent "this is a text message" and it was too long, they would get "this is a textrandom message from yesterday"

I'm working on something that might help with this issue indirectly.
As much as I like to take credit for weird bugs, I don't think XHangouts is to blame here. Currently, XHangouts only processes MMS. There is no SMS modification or handling. Is this reproducible every time even after multiple reboots both with and without XHangouts enabled in the Xposed module list?
Well, I tested it again and couldn't reproduce it at all. I didn't try with the same person, but I don't think the receiving phone would be affected by your module.
I'll test it again with the same person and see if the module makes any difference, or if I can reproduce it at all.
I assumed it was your module because I installed it and rebooted and the problem was there every time, then after disabling and rebooting it was gone.

Thanks, it was probably a transient bug but in Hangouts, not XHangouts.

Today I am proud to announce the second beta release of XHangouts v2.3. I'm in the middle of preparing for finals but with the significant progress made in the past month I'd be remiss not to compile the changes for you to test.
