Dear xda community,

I'd like to introduce my MIUI Custom ROM "cpMIUI" for Mi6!

Thanks a lot to my friends at Mi-Forum and to malchik-solnce (MIUI-MS) for support!

Installation:
You can flash the zip file with TWRP.
If you are coming from another ROM (also MIUI Global ROM), wipe dalvik, cache and data before installing the ROM.

If you are coming from another MIUI China Dev ROM (not Global Dev) with a lower version, you can skip wiping data.

If you are already using cpMIUI, you can use the cpMIUI app to update the ROM. It also supports OTA.

It will come any time soon.

The original ROM is still a little buggy, e.g. notifocation sound is not working for WhatsApp.
And I still have some build issues but I am working on it.

die aktuelle EpicRom 8.1.25 hat alle Benachrichtigungen inkl.Sounds und weniger Bugs als die vorherigen NougatRoms, also dürfte die org. Global Dev.Rom auch funktionieren... probier's mal

und nix gg.SuperSU, aber Magisk ist sicher die modernere und elegantere Variante inkl.funktionierendem SafetyNetFix

I already tried Magisk and got SafetyNet to pass with cpMIUI but for me personally, SuperSU is working out better when it comes to root.
And I really need root a lot and I prefer this over Safety Net.

That doesn't mean I will not ever change to Magisk but time has not come yet

Currently I am busy on getting my Oreo build to work and I will be on vacation from the middle of next week.

After that, I maybe I'll consider adding more languages.

oha i'm surprised :laugh: you are the first person which modded and supersu magisk prefers... the last off.update was 1 year before and the last magiskupdate 2 weeks or so... magisk is more modern and can used with many plugins.
maybe it's better to build a ROM without root so that can every user choose his own root

Removing root is no option for me, since the cpMIUI App won't work without.

Let me explain why I still refuse to switch to Magisk.
I use chainfire's libsuperuser for cpMIUI as well as my other app Root ToolCase.
When executing a list of su commands at once, Magisk was way too slow compared to SuperSU.
It has been getting a lot better though since Magisk 15.

For me, I agree with the person above. Let the user pick their own root like the other MIUI Roms.

I flashed this ROM last night and I got supersu failure.. ROM is working but with tempered state. Now I can't even install root using SuperSu. Magisk on the other hand would not allow root with something that already been tempered with. It is unrooted but cannot be root anymore. Ofc I can go do the hassle to reset everything just to get a simple root, since if I don't, I won't get to use any of this ROM extra features.

How did you implement paid themes? Is it just a matter of changing the themes apk?

cpMIUI 8.3.22 is available

Changelog Xiaomi:

Optimization - Image details and noise (03-22)
Optimization - The dynamic range of the photo (03-22)
Optimization - Photographing speed (03-22)

Changelog cpMIUI:

First cpMIUI based on Android 8
Magisk instead of SuperSU
GovTuner temporarily removed
Dolby Atmos temporarily removed

Known Issues:

After first boot, system is very laggy for about 2 minutes.
After reboot, system is laggy for about 20-30 seconds but then very smooth

Please don't perform a full wipe!
If you were already logged into you Mi Account, Xiaomi wants to verify your password. For that you need to connect to a WiFi but when asking for the WiFi password, the keyboard won't show.
You can't skip the verification, so you're locked out

If you just flash the ROM and wipe cache + dalvik, everything's fine!
