bada 2.0: "firefly-ROM" for S8500 & S8530 & S7230E (and soon for S8600!!!)

Hey guys,

today I'd like to present you my new Custom-ROM "firefly" for Samsung GT- S8530 (Wave II).
As basis for this ROM I used the Custom FW S8530XXLD1_S8530PainkillerLE1 by Painkiller In combination with the NexusLB4 and the official German LA1.

...that leads to a boot loop on some S8500 devices.

Bluescreen shows something with Language... 40...

So something is in CSC missing... RCS part...
CSCrcs\SystemCSC\String

Will check again with other apps_compressed...

Currently there are problems with CSC file in S8500 version...
these seem to have to do with language settings...

I'll evaluate it asap.
Afterwards new Languages can be added...

yes, decompress CSC file, and then go to CSCrcs\SystemCSC\String
there you can add language or change stings

I've deleted some languages, but don't forget to change the settings to in: CSCsfs\SystemFS\Settings\PreConfiguration\Default\Registry

i don't know how to decompress such file like CSC .. so I replaced the CSC_S8530_Open_Arabic with this file .. I wonder if it is a legit way

I did it and it's working as charm

I just replaced the CSC file from this thread :

but still a problems with Social Hub its working but I can't open my account at facebook & twitter its show me this message " login failed"

but every thing working great and yes memory management better than other FW no crach .. restart .. so far

I've used my own CSC and clean the rom a little bit down

(also my CSC contans only dutch

) [CSC_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_XEN]

ringtones ripped off.
wallpapers are gone(expect 2 standard)
themes are gone.

Well...

The basic idea of this FW was, that I created it for personal use.
I did not know if it works.
After flashing, I thougt, that others could be interested in this FW.

I know, that this firmware is a little bit "blown up".
But I kn ow, that some users like the included features...

So...

I like your fw. Its really awesome. However I am facing a problem with it in my s8500. Whenever I go to accounts in settings I get the message "SHP subscription expired. Renew?" Can you please help me in solving this problem?

I've search for how to activate shp...

solution:

download waveremaker
dump your CSC (with waveremaker)
goto: "CSCsfs\CSC\Customer\*your country id*"
open customer.xml, search for "social"

then edit it with notepad, make from "basic" "premium" (what I already have done)
save it.
open waveremaker, select "open dump" that select the dump that you've made,
click on save, than on "save as non compressed csc" that name it csc.csc
flash the rom again now with that csc.csc file

Thanks for your suggestion. But that method could have worked if Social Hub basic was enabled, and so you could change it to premium. But for me it is showing subscription expired which is a totally different issue. Something to do with servers. I have already tried changing them but they never work for me.
