Just wanted to say thanks to you from my uncle and I. I flashed both of our phones with this ROM and we haven't looked back, even with the bugs and such we are holding patient. This next week I will be sending you a nice little donation, take your woman out for some drinks or something! I haven't donated to anyone but Myn, so that's saying a lot. :p Or its just saying I'm a tightass, either way! lol

On another note, my uncle is 80% color blind and I think you are one of the very few ROMs out there that keep the toggle buttons green and he loves that. Keep that in mind if you ever change it, maybe make a zip to change it back. Or just don't change it! lol

All in all man, keep it up, you do some excellent work!

Idk if i can customize this, but i haven't found anything... I want to stop the vibration from pressing the home, back,search, and settings buttons on the bottom of the phone... Is really annoying...

Throwing in another me too on this issue. Unfortunately when it happens I'm usually trying to use my phone and I can't remember what I was doing prior to the lock up. Just that I'm pissed that the buttons don't work anymore.

What I did was I connected through wifi clear market data and download any app and see if it works if it does go off wifi and try downloading another app hope this helps

Sorry for asking but can you tell me the difference between these pics you posted and the ones from the OP pics? The toggles look the same unless I'm missing something.. Unless that this is proof that the new one is working??? Again I apologize.

No.. the difference is that if you ever run ucle2 then u would know there is an annoying carrier label in the status bar so I moved it to the drop down and so on

Just thought I would post this because I also had some of the same issues reported here with Beta3, they only happen once in a while but were annoying. I uninstalled the ROM manager app and deleted the folder on the internal SD card rebooted and I have not had one of those issues for the last two days. Not sure how it was affecting my phone but it seemed to clear up the problems. Just thought this might help anyone else, it seems to have been the issue on my phone it may not work for yours but it may be worth a try, you can always reinstall ROM Manager back if you want.

I've had this problem with a lot of apps now. Reinstalling them seems to fix the issue, but then it seems to happen with another app. After I see this, if I reboot, it hangs at a black screen with the capacitive buttons on. Then I had to hold down the power button to force the reboot again. That second reboot has always worked so far.

Trying the darkside cache wipe again now (doh reboot to recovery hung at black screen too)...

Edit: It's been a couple hours now and no further issues since re-doing the wipe/fix permissions via darkside cache wipe. Won't really be sure until it makes it through the day though.

Edit2: It has been most all day now and since I did the final darkside cache wipe (this was after flashing ROM and reinstalling/restoring apps), things have been working perfectly! I just rebooted to make sure that it wouldn't hang and the reboot went straight to recovery like I asked it to do. So I booted from there and did another full reboot and it also went down and came back just fine!!

I posted a fix for this yesterday in this thread. Remove your google account and re-add it. If you use 2nd stage authentication, make sure you add the account using an newly generated application specific password.

1. EMAIL alert keeps going and going and going till acknowleged. If you are on the phone when you get email the alert will not stop at all unless you reboot.

2. WiFi calling, we know this already though.

3. Cannot delete items from call log, no option to clear call log, have to clear cache for the logging service to clear

Hope this helps! Chances are I'm an idiot and these are easily fixed... lol

Well at least for the EMAIL alert, you just need to go into the email app/settings and change the notification alert, easy fix ;)

Right, you can change the email notification settings to only notify once.

I also see the call log issue. I have a call from yesterday. I can long click it and choose Delete. But it has no effect. If I restart the dialer and go back to log, it is still there as well. Let me try to logcat it.

I'm looking at this rom to upgrade my wifes t989. My main question is dies it have stock aosp exchange email or is it the Samsung version. If it's Samsung is there a way to switch?

It is a Samsung version, but you can find AOSP in this http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=24120459. Just scroll down and will see the link
Make sure to freeze or uninstal existing app

    Instructions on flashing DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION:

    * FULL WIPE ALWAYS *

    01. Download ROM (Link is Below)
    02. BACKUP ALL APPS with preferred method (ie: Rom Toolbox, Titanium, My Backup, etc..)
    03. Place ROM on ROOT of your SD card. (ie: /sdcard)
    04. Boot into Recovery Mode
    05. Do a NAND BACKUP!!!
    06. Flash DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE (OPTIONAL - ROM will do this by default)
    07. Flash an ICS ready radio (Links below)
    08. Flash ROM.
    09. After flashing is complete, Reboot...
    10. Let device sit for 10min without touching, then reboot.
    11. Done!

    Please don't start flashing any mods that were not done by me! Unless the mod was specifically made for this rom, with parts from this rom. Don't flash any radios unless they're specifically for ICS, the ril from gb roms will cause phone not to boot.

    I know that ICS is new and a lot of people are unfamiliar. You must read! Please don't think ICS is anything similar to gingerbread.         ​

    ONLY USE THIS IF YOU NEED TO WIPE CACHE'S OR FIX PERMISSIONS IN CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY. THIS IS TO BE FLASHED IN RECOVERY! This replaces the need for using the broken built in CWM recovery functions. The DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE script will wipe both the /cache partition and the dalvik cache. After its has completed the wipe, it will then fix permissions (the correct way). This should hopefully fix that damn ICS reboot hang issue once and for all.     ​

    Here is where I stand after a lot of thought on all this.. I am a firm believer in pushing the community forward. Innovation, creativity, and originality are the keys into doing this. I am definetly not happy with the way people act around here, especially some of the new "devs". There is no sense in not helping the community when I am able. I know that I can deliver a solid ROM based off the stock Samsung firmware. It will continue along the line of minimal ui changes and focus more on ux. Updates will not be as rapid and before, but development will be consistent until I am happy with where the project ends up. I will be moving in 2 days, so I don't think I will have anything ready for another week or so. This is not an eta, just letting you know where I am at... let's do the damn thing and show them that there feeble skills are no match for the power of the DARKSIDE!

    I will be releasing v2 BETA01 tonight. V2 rebases of the uvcl8 t989 base and gives us back all functionality. Base is stable and screaming fast. Plus I know a lot of people will be happy to get wifi calling back... no exact time, but sometime tonight for sure. Still a few things that I have to do.. but I know u guys will be more than happy with my progress. To note, everything works within the rom
