It is possible that the spikes are caused by the touchscreen driver.
Since I test your driver my freq are spiking.
May you should test the caveman or ts_gb driver (devices_lg.h has to be changed (you can see at my github)). If its gone it comes from ts driver.

I've already used Der caveman TS driver for long time ago, but it still has CPU Spike bug.

I want to report something.
I use viber. A lot. When I used to scroll down text messages and the music was playing in the background, every song would start to lag. This can be noticed in Roq's and Stock CyanogenMod's kernel.
This is fixed in you kernel. Damn, your kernel is awesome!

TA, has the wifi battery drain (even after wifi was stopped, battery used to drain) been addressed? Am ready to test this. Was waiting eagerly for this release :)

I can't capture time lapse photos with Camera Zoom FX with this kernel. To be frank neither could I with v1 or franco kernel but I can with stock kernel. When the device locks the process is interrupted.
Also Opera Mini, while integrated to (stock 2.3.3) rom, won't work with this kernel, although it was working with stock and franco kernel.

Just a few minutes before my device woke up on its own, after two seconds the brightness was adjusted on its own to a higher setting and the touch screen or any other button (including the on/off button) wasn't working. It was frozen for a few seconds and then the screen turned off. I immediately turned the device on and while trying to unlock it, it did a quick reboot (LG logo was not shown, a small part of bootanimation was played, then the home screen appeared and started loading, etc).

1) IMHO This kernel is optimized for C.M 7.2. So stock ROM may have some issues as I do not have any of the issues you have outlined. Tried to recreate all issues you have outlined on C.M 7.2 nightly with this kernel and I did not get any.
2) When ever you change a kernel, best practice is to clear dalvik and cache before flashing it.

:)

EDIT> Try to upgrade Opera mini to the latest after uninstalling the current one. Also re-install the Camera Zoom App after uninstalling the current version.

Here
Ppl complaining about batt drain, you can use tasker app and set a profile to change gov to conservative when screen is off. It will automatically get back to your preset gov when screen is on. Oh, and tasker doesn't keep your phone awake, in case you were wondering...

1) :(
2) I'm always doing so.
Opera mini was fixed (something was wrong with libom.so) but Camera Zoom FX won't capture time lapse photos. I had the same problem with Tina time-lapse when I had franco kernel installed but thankfully it worked just fine after flashing TA's kernels. :)

    Bassiclly Features:
    • Based on "gingerbread_rel" branch from Code Aurora Forum, merged into CM7 official kernel source. Thanks to Hephappy for doing this ;).
    • Backported stuffs from 3.0 kernel to make this kernel run on ICS ROM - All Credits to LGICS Team.
    • Updated kernel version from 2.6.35.10 to 2.6.35.14 with Power Management patches for better battery life.
    • Completly Fair Scheduler with Autogroup feature.
    • Overclocking support. CPU Frequencies that added: from 652Mhz - 806Mhz.
      - Tip: Most of P500 can overclock to 729Mhz, becareful with higher frequencies.
    • Implemented SmartassV2 Governor with optimizations. Use as default governor.
    • Implemented optimized touch screen driver with multi-touching hack and High CPU Usage bug workaround (CPU Usage goes high when you touch the screen).
      - Thanks to Der_Caveman for rewriting a better touch screen driver, waleedq and sippolo for implementing Axis Inversion hack, fserve for High CPU Usage bug fixes.
    • Camera Flickering fix ;)
    • Tons of patches/tweaks from CAF, Cyanogenmod, me, many other people... All credits to them!

    Bugs:
    • Enabling GPS will bring "GPS wakelock". This will prevent your phone from going to deep sleep
Fix: Reboot your phone after enable GPS.
    • Random Rebooting... Nothing to say!

    Reporting bugs:
    • Provide logcat when report bugs!

    How to install:
    • Install the Kernel:
      • Reboot to Recovery.
      • Backup all thing FIRST!
      • Choose the caf-p500-xxxxxxxx-xxxx.zip (xxxxxxxx-xxxx is the kernel version)
      • Done it right? Reboot the system and Enjoy.

Tricks/Tips for getting better battery life:
    • Use the default governor - smartassv2! Highly Recommend!
    • Don't use CPU Profiles, SmartassV2 already has that.
    • Don't over clock your phone to higher than 729Mhz.

Hi Guys, well, i think that i've worked hard on kernel for a month. But, today, i think that i should stop, because now i have a lot of homework and many exams. When 20/6, i will have the biggest TESTS, if i fail one of them, so, my life will go down, and i can't get a job, so i will be a poor guy or will be so hard to earn money.... Now i just have about 3 months to learn, the tests will include what i have learn from 3 years ago until now, they will choose the hard excercise and put it to the exams.

Well, i have to stop, but i still help the dev if they need. And all you still can use my kernel source , fix , clean and develop it... do more, develop never be stop, it will always go forward!
