Hey Community. i am glad to share CM-12 for Shamu. This is the start of CM for this device and will help bring other roms based off of CM. Huge thanks is always given to the hard working Devs.
This a alpha build. so there might be things broken or not working. So please be patient.. Lets all get this rolling as a community.

I or XDA are not responsible for your phone if you choose to go forward with flashing, modding, etc your phone. SO Please be warned this your phone to decide what you want to try. We hold no responsible on you decision to do So.




You need to unlock your bootloader and have recovery as usually. / I also suggest flash the new radio from 5.0.1 for proper data on Cdma services
Download ROM
reboot Recovery
backup old rom
wipe data
install rom
install GAPP's
reboot

Can someone mirror this? I have had two failed downloads on mobile and am sitting at a " 1 day left on PC....and it failed again. Please assist

So glad to see an unofficial CM 12 build finally here for Shamu! I'll jump on board once CM merges Expanded Desktop.

Does anybody know how to get the google now launcher to work, as in get it as the default launcher. I tried clearing the defaults for launcher3 but it has the button for clearing the default settings is greyed out. Other than that the rom is great and smooth. Cant wait until its gets more features though

I used the full Gapps listed in the OP but still had to install the launcher from the play store. That cleared it up for me.

    Am I the only one that finds this rude? I don't understand some of you new guys. He didn't want to pay for an app to do what he can find for free in custom roms. That doesn't make him cheap. Developers that accept donations, want the donations because you appreciate their work; not to try their work. I wish users would treat everyone with the respect that they'd expect to be treated with.

    P.S. Your = you own it. You're = contraction for you are (right usage for your post).

    P.S. This guy made a custom power.shamu.so that enables double tap to wake, without an app. I'm using it now and it works well:

    sorry to hear all these google apps FCing..we also have been reworking the device tree. and at the sametime trying to get CM to merge a few commits to help out our device...Dhacker has put in alot of hours to fix up the tree..bluetooth is back to stock setup thanks to him...Hopefully we can see where these google play services FC

    Why be scared? Either nandroid your current rom or flash back to stock if you don't like it. Don't understand why you're on XDA if you're afraid to flash a rom.
