Check the file size of the modem.bin you are trying. Can't be over 13MB, or else it won't fit. At least on my sgt7 compile it's like that.

All you need to do is copy the modem.bin to the /radio directory.

@alroger Are you checking /dev/mtd/mtd5? For me it is ~16.7 mb; the largest modem.bin is the T-mobile one at 16mb.

/dev/block/mtdblock5 /radio yaffs2 rw,relatime 0 0
/radio 16M 14M 1M 4096

If I erase modem.bin, I get only 13MB free (actually around 13.5).

As I posted before, my KM2 modem is 16MB and won't fit. Using JP3 now.

Guys, the CM nightly build has JPZ modem by default.

If you are on specific network, replace the modem.bin file within cwm zip file before you install it.

Choose your n/w specific modem!

People on windows, Use WINRAR or 7ZIP to open the file and just select add and browse the modem. It will be replaced.

Edit: I'm dumb, followed your instructions, restocked and I'm good to go. Thanks for the help!!!

Ok, I will try to increase the radio partition size.

Edit:

Take a look at the attached diff. This increases the partition to 20mb; I was able to fit my t-mobile image. I will ask Cdesai if this is the appropriate fix. Let me know if it works for you.

It worked. We have now 17MB of free usable space in /radio.
KM2 and T-Mobile modems will fit now.

/dev/block/mtdblock5 /radio yaffs2 rw,relatime 0 0

Filesystem Size Used Free Blksize
/radio 20M 2M 17M 4096

I'm compiling sgt7 20120422 with this fix for p1n, p1l, p1, p1c for anyone that wants to try.

I'm using P1000.
Installed your current build over the earlier, Tab went into boot loop at Galaxy Tab flash screen.
Didn't boot into recovery too..

Flashed old kernel in Download mode using Heimdall then booted.
Did I missed smthing or !?!

Hmmm.. strange. Did you check the md5 to make sure the download is good?
I will try to compile it again.

For the boot animation you can try using Terminal Emulator and do the following:

Code:
su
setprop persist.sys.nobootanimation 1

For the camera it is not just you, there are still some problems to be worked out.

Wireless speed via USB tethering seems to slow down significantly when the screen is off. This doesn't occur on GB-based ROM's

Edit: Maybe it's related to the driver itself? I saw this thread which makes it seem driver/kernel related.

Notice that the CyanogenMod official nightly, from the get.cm site, is not the same as the sgt7 build that the Te4m origininally created. The sgt7 builds have more options and tweaks. That's why you can't find the option in the 20120421, cause it's plain CyanogenMod. The 20120417 you mentioned is my sgt7 build, with all the goodies.

Camera works great for me. Just FCs when taking front camera pictures... sometimes work, sometimes cause FCs.
Remeber do clean cache and data in Settings/Apps for Camera after flashing CameraUpdate.zip.

    PDroid Patched CM9 build

    Ladies and Gentlemen.
I've compiled a PDroid - Privacy Protection patched CM9 for whoever wants to try it. I was using it in CM7, but took this long for something to come out for CM9. Right now the only way to have PDroid working is patching the CM9 source and compiling it with PDroid support.
It's in testing phase, but seems to work nicely already.

It's a dream come true for privacy - a way to block all those strange permissions that apps require, without breaking the app. Worth taking a look!

My build post for downloads: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=24986629&postcount=756

    Cheers!
