[Q] Country lock and Customer.xml relation

My phone is country locked to Saudi Arabia and does not work in India anymore.

Currently

1. IMEI shows 000000000000000
2. Shows emergency call only when sim inserted (cannot register on network)
3. 4.1.2 (downgraded from 4.2.2 OTA update

Question is

1. I have found customer.xml inside device/system/csc . Is this Related to the Country lock? If yes how can I edit to make it work with current country network?

2. Will flashing a Custom will do any help

3. Changing CSC will do any help to unlock

4. A window to enter unlock PIN was coming on 4.1.2 before OTA update. But after downgrading to the same the 4.1.2 it no more asks for unlock pin. Will this affect the unlocking anyway. Even if i get an unlock code thru internet i dont know where to enter.

AFAIK my knowledge says your phone is SIM/Carrier locked
Try flashing the ROM which you earlier had
You also will need an unlock code to network-unlock your grand

But how do I trust the online sites. There are too many of them charging high amount.

The USB unlocking looks cheap. Will that do the trick?
