I wanted to try but every time I flash I lose root and says SuperSU binary is outdated... Flashed rom again got root again.

Any solution? (I am on nitrogenOS 19th April)

That thread search function is there for some reason..

All people, after flashing fk, lose root. Flash SuperSU or whatever type of root u use.

11 hours of SOT with auto brightness and using Google Chrome on PureNexus. No special tweaks or battery saver profiles. No Naptime. Could easily push for 12+

Can I flash R4 on LOS14 with android 7.1.2 or should I wait for fixes/new update?

Just flash it.

Sir, why 3.10.104 not 3.10.105 ?

Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

No reason.

Hi Mr Francisco! I was wondering, could you add DT2W? Cause my power button for some reason doesn't work properly and I really need it :p . Thanks!

I'm sorry, but don't think that's going to happen :/

He doesn't update to the latest upstream because it's not stable enough... At least that's my assumption.

Absolutely not. These incremental releases are mostly ****-proof, they don't have idiots merging patches on Linux.

Just flash SuperSu zip and you'll be fine forever.

Sorry for the out of topic question but i know franco is here to answer about his own apps. Currently I am using Naptime and in setting, I turned naptime ON. and that's all? How can I ensure naptime kick in or it works?

naptime is just a tool which kicks on doze as soon as screen is turned off, since in stock android doze takes a while to kick in, so yea install naptime turn on aggressive doze n forget it!
hit thanx if helped!

damn , i forgot Franco is using Mi Max power configs

check value for default_hvdcp_icl_ma it should be 1500 ( you can raise it until 2400 )
https://github.com/franciscofranco/kenzo/blob/nougat/drivers/power/qpnp-smbcharger.c#L419

also check value for default_hvdcp3_icl_ma it should be 2000 ( you can raise it until 2400 )
https://github.com/franciscofranco/kenzo/blob/nougat/drivers/power/qpnp-smbcharger.c#L425

echo "2400" > /sys/module/qpnp_smbcharger/parameters/default_hvdcp_icl_ma
echo "2400" > /sys/module/qpnp_smbcharger/parameters/default_hvdcp3_icl_ma
already 2400 but on ampere still charging unger 1600 mah, what wrong???

I know it is just a tool to kick in aggreasive doze mode, but im just curious if there is a way that it is actually working in background. at least for the "placebo" effect :X

    Hi all.

    Compatibility:
Builds starting with r1 are for Lineage OS 14.1 based roms.
Builds starting with r13 are also for Android Oreo 8.1.0 roms.

    Download:
From my webserver choose the Kernel with the most recent version number. Older releases for older Android versions are in the parent directory:
    Android 7.1.2: https://kernels.franco-lnx.net/RedmiNote3/7.1.2/anyKernel/
    Android 8.1.0: https://kernels.franco-lnx.net/RedmiNote3/8.1.0/anyKernel/
or from my Updater app. It's just easier and more convenient:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel

    Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
    or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app

    Features:
    1 - Legendary battery life
    2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Bypasses the verified boot flag for Android Pay compatibility (root still breaks Android Pay but that's your own problem)
5 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
    6 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
7 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
8 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
9 - No useless placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
10 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Franco Kernel: Manager & Updater demo

    Disclaimer to moderators:
Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.

    Cheers!

Also I'm pretty fresh on this device so if I missed anything let me know, if it makes sense I'll add it.

New Franco Kernel version for the Redmi Note 3

    r5
    1. Improvements on the charging situation. QC2.0 supports up to 3A of charging draw so we allow it. To counter excessive heat now this thing throttles charging amperage quite dramatically using Qualcomm reference values. You don't need to worry about any of this though, it's all handled for you
    2. Fixed a bug which was causing the hardware interrupt handler to be in a non-working state and constantly trying to turn itself back on & off. Now it's fixed
    3. Give it a slight headroom for the little cluster to quickly respond to load changes. Those little cores are ~5x less power hungry than the big cores, so we're fine letting them scale more aggressively
    4. sepolicy changes should now work fine with Magisk root users

    zip: https://kernels.franco-lnx.net/RedmiNote3/7.1.2/anyKernel/fk-r5-anykernel2.zip

Franco Kernel Manager & Updater is the best companion for this Kernel (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel)

I also strongly suggest you install Naptime (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.doze), for free, to achieve the best battery life through out the day. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

New Franco Kernel version for the Redmi Note 3

    r6
    1. Improved compatibility with Nitrogen custom rom by preventing their custom post-boost script to run and properly apply default FK values
    2. Follow the latest changes from LineageOS related to Goodix users. You'll need to be on a fairly recent custom rom (building from LineageOS sources or using their Goodix related patches) to have it working
    3. Merged some patches from LineageOS which include some important fixes and changes
    4. Screening on should be a couple milliseconds faster and more responsive
    5. Max frequency on the big cluster is now raised to 1.8GHz following LineageOS's changes
