same as your combination.
i used to get lock within 30 seconds when i was on JVH even when i was inside my house near a window with cloudy sky i used to get GPS lock quite easily.

i must have tried more than 5 to 6 different modems
the only modem that worked for me was (is) JV5.
i have used faster fix ,GPS Aid with different settings but not getting satisfactory results.

I noticed it is not totally bug-free. It can switch languages well, and type everything but there's one problem. After selecting Input Languages (say you use English and Greek, like me), on next reboot, the keyboard only "remembers" one of the two languages, and you have to reselect the other one. I seriously have no idea what could be causing that.

I have exactly opposite experience. With Galaxian the GPS lock was ALMOST impossible. I reverted from galaxian to speedmod after that. But definitely there is something about GPS in this rom.

I just tested new Galaxian kernel, its good stable but not fast as previous version.
only remarkable change is by default it overclock on 1.2 Ghz so we can manually increase till 1.4 Ghz or Decrease as much as u want.
But i think we can do it manualy also.

So i sugessing to be on Galaxian previous version till we didnt got new Galaxian kernel with good speed.

amd ya one issue with new galaxian kernel is it show some NTT DOCOMO Logo at startup, after that we got SGS Boot animation. i didnt know its bug or what.

Problem is that u try alot.

just folow one last final step, flash your SGS with JVP stock ROM using Odin and then test GPS. if you got good responce then go for V4.

i try many modem include jp9 , all tends to fc after running.
only one modem is working with android 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 ..which is jv4 from taiwan release.

    FAQs​

    Q: How this ROM is different then your F1 JVP Mod ROM ?
    A: This ROM is heavily modded with Samsung Galaxy S2 theme, features, apps etc and F1 JVP Mod is all stock build with just some tweaks and improvements.

    Q: I'm coming from a different ROM so which version should i choose wipe or non-wipe ?
    A: Choose the Wipe Version.

    Q: What is the difference between wipe and non-wipe version ?
    A: Wipe version will delete all your apps and settings whereas non-wipe version will not delete your app or settings.

    Q: I'm getting bootloops what should i do now ?
    A: Follow the steps below:
    • Get into the CWM recovery
    • Wipe Data/factory reset
    • Wipe Cache
    • Wipe Dalvik-Cache
    • Wipe Battery Stats
    • Format Internal SDCard
    • Install the wipe version of my ROM

    Q: I'm coming from a different ROM how can i install this ROM ?
    A: Follow the steps below
    • Disable any lagfixes
    • Get into the CWM recovery
    • Wipe Data/factory reset
    • Wipe Cache
    • Wipe Dalvik-Cache

    Q: I'm currently on a previous version of this ROM how do i upgrade to latest version without loosing my apps and data ?
    A: Follow the steps below
    • Remove Android related stuff from the internal SD Card
    • Get into CWM Recovery
    • Wipe Dalvik-Cache
    • Wipe Battery Stats
    • Install the non-wipe version of the ROM

    Q: I want to make sure nothing of my previous ROM interferes with my new ROM what should i do
    A: Completely wipe your internal SD Card or delete any Android related stuff from it and disable any lagfix. Then do a full wipe from ClockworkMod recovery then install the wipe version of my ROM.

    Q: How should i check if my lagfix is enabled or not ?
    A: Install ChainFire's EXT4 app to check but don't convert the partitions through the app use the recovery to enable/disable lagfix.

    Q: I'm getting WiFi issues What should i do.
    A: This is because before flashing the ROM you were on SpeedMod Kernel which is the culprit so to fix it read the steps below:
    • Disable Lagfix
    • Wipe Everything (Data, Cache, Dalvik-Cache & Battery stats)
    • Install Stock JVP Firmware
    • Install CF-Root Kernel
    • Install my ROM
    • Done!

    Q: After Installing your ROM I'm getting bootloops/boot issues?
    A: Do the following steps:
    • Take out the battery
    • Put the battery back in
    • Get into Recovery
    • Wipe Everything
    • Flash my ROM
    • Done!

    This is just the Core build BETA of V8 which means this build only has Galaxy S II theme, TW4 and S1 system apps. I'm releasing it as i want you guys to test the stability and feedback of the ROM as the ROM should be lightning fast and Rock Stable so please test and give feedback. Especially test the TW4.
