For me, v11 (not the beta as I 've not tried it yet) works just fine. I went on to install the rom then configured link2sd, then the patch then restored apps with TB (apps and data) which made it restore the apps and link them back to partition.

The "hardest" part was to make the launcher pages as I wanted them, (no big deal really.. )

It is smooth and fast and battery consumption very nice. Took it half a day to really work as it's supposed to.

I am a bit sceptical as to if I should try the beta as I don't see much input about it.. so how does it work ?

mate.. seems that is something too wrong with the way how you are flashing roms..
cuz I am using the V11, about 2 days and I still have 75% of battery..
did you follow the guide?

Man, I'm flashing the rom like I always do and the way it should be done, if you read a few posts back erick also sent me instructions to flash the rom with bb58=done exactely what he says, I will wait until tomorrow, see what happens but just to say, CM and MIUI did not have this problem,I used CM for months and it was brilliant,MIUI about the same and this is eclair,so I can't understand

Well the newest fw is a lot smoother than the old one nd even smoother than some 2.2 roms. When I ran a quadrant I actually was getting 32-34 FPS on stock w/ jit and root. I honestly think that if you want to run stock than it should be 2.1.B.0.1

Hey,

It was discussed here a couple times. I mean about the usage and how to get a better performance.
I am testing my roms all the time, and in this mean time using 3G/H, txt, phone calls.. and I got about 4 days.
Now some tips.. gaming eats a lot of battery two main reasons.. eats processor and screen.. and takes a lot of both. Anyway, I play few minutes of angry birds :D
The screen brightness takes too battery and for this reason I use at the minimum brightness.. if signal in your area is weak it gets some influence about your battery drainage.
Conclusion.. there is a lot of steps to follow to have a better battery usage, it's like a good practice for battery usage and you supposed to discover by yourself new ways to save battery. In this case, share this information with us as well.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Erick

The beta is working flawlessly for me. I will release it as stable soon, after some new improvements and tweaks.
You can flash it without complain ;)
Enjoy!

thanks for the reply Erick, i'm gonna test further about my battery, because mine last at most 1 and a 1/2 day, but of course with moderate web surfing, no gaming or maybe a couple of minutes, and minimum call and sms are made, but so far, i checked out a thread about battery calibration about x10, is that necessary after we flash to this ROM?

if v011 is really stable, what's the main reason to switch to v001? faster and smoother?

Sorry........ but this question wasn't too smart, don't you? :D e.g. you have a old car of brand.. and that same brand releases a new model of that old car? should you replace your car for the new one? it's quite simple for me.. for sure this new version will have new improvements.. in our case, seems that baseband is new.. and probably other internal file systems, beyond the magical touch of our best chef erik that makes his magic to make all smoother and faster :D

Hey,
Yes, for sure battery calibration is pretty useful. After flash and charge getting full battery charge, so you can proceed the calibration. Just follow that thread and you will be ready to go ;)
Have fun! :)

thanks for the reply, afaik, the only thing i knew about v001 is that it is using SE latest firmware, which is the new baseband, other than that, i dont see any differences, well, of course based on this thread, i did not really flash the new v001, bt still i dont see enough comments or opinions about the new v001, in other words, i am still not convinced enough to make a switch, till then, i'm sticking with v011, coz i still feel very satisfy about it, i shall wait more news and updates about v001, hope there's a changelog, then i can compare it with v011

MODULES, INSTALLATION TIPS, THEMES AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS.

Introducing the modules concept for a faster, smooth and clean rom:Note: Modules are to be installed via xRecovery. Full Package is for all stock applications. Flash if you feel like there's something missing from the rom, but performance will suffer.

*Important tip: The higher your SD card's class number, the better the performance. For example, a class 8 is much better than a class 2 due to higher transfer rates in class 6 compared to a class 2. Your device's performance will vary depending on the SDCard that you have. So choose a higher class number instead a low and be happy.
LINK2SD is provided witht his rom. Here's some tips

Once you have made your partition, open the link2sd app, give it superuser permission and then start moving your apps, please be aware that apps which have widgets are to be left on the phone memory or they not work.
Lastly, any questions about setting your partition are best aimed at the thread there not here out of respect for Erick, the tool provided in the thread makes the process easy, so do not be afraid to try and the benefits are for a faster cleaner phone.

How to backup and restore your data easily:
To backup and restore use Titanium Backup included in the rom.
    How to enable boot-animation?

I would like to invite you to try this blazing fast yet stable ROM today! I would greatly appreciate any feedback you may have. Please remember that you are doing so at your own risk and I am not responsible for bricking your phone or any other damage that may ensue.

    Requirements:
    1. Rooted 2.1 ROM (latest firmware and baseband 2.1.65 (X10a - in case of reboot need to install this patch) or 2.1.67(X10i - better under-volt compatibility)[/URL] - tested and recommended) If you don't have it, please go to Bin4ry's [GUIDE] and use this tool from Bin4ry and Androxyde to flash both. First flash the firmware 2.1.A.0.492 and afterwards, the new baseband.
    Smart tip from a user:
It should not work when restoring between different roms or Android versions due to changes in framework. If your try make sure to wipe cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions after restoring.
