Now I know about the hardcoded color values, but isn't there an other way to fix this since it's only a bug on oreo. There where other apps that had this pink text bug once oreo came out.
Don't know if it's possible but I really can't find a gallery app that can replace quickpic for me on oreo.

The pink text bug could be fixed simply. by changing the text color values ​​of #ff3a3a3a for #ffffffff the problem is the error compiling with these modifications.

It worked for me. Check on your home screen whether the shortcuts are being created. If are not, cleaning the app or reinstalling it.

QuickPic is still the best gallery.. hopefully someone redevelops the app, because it would be such a waste

add your mod to system / app-priv, restart and when you try to open only a black screen appears, any suggestions ? @WSTxda

note: if I install it like any app, it works of charm in my z2 play LineageOS 15.1 (8.1.0)
Note2: the color of the letters is pink on, (lol) does not affect only I wanted to report

Use as apk, I do not recommend a direct installation in system, even because QuickPic has a lot of problems in Oreo e Pie

Hello gentlemen. I created an account just to post this question in this discussion. But have been lurking for years.
I gave up QP in 2016 and replaced with Simple and FStop. May I use this discussion to request a feature to be added to this mod? Please redirect me if I am mistaken.
I want QP to have an option for "Animated GIFS at thumbnails." Many market galleries have this but simply aren't fast enough to execute this option without sacrificing scrolling speed.
So if any gallery is fast enough, it's QP. And if there's any dev talented enough, it's someone here.
Can we please add this to QP? I offer my Eternal gratitude (700 days in phone years) and a monetary reward to the developer who makes this happen for me.
P.S. I'm not talking a few gids in a sea of still jpgs. Talking 25-40 Folders containing 200-500 gifs each. A p©ГΩ gallery of only gifs. Please? Anyone?
