Blue Background

I manually modified the framework-res.apk to have the blue background as in GC.

By the way, The dialpad and the messaging background remain orange because they have their own background and they are odexed.

Just replace /system/framework/framework-res.apk and set rw-r--r-- permissions.

I was going to do so, but I was afraid of such a checksum mismatch dued to the odexing.

I'll try :)

EDIT: It doesn't work for me. If I make changes to the apks without reodexing, they aren't recognized at all by the phone.
How did you manage that?

If I well-understood your problem, the background isn't took over, but simply that app doesn't owns a background, then it uses the framework background (that in this case is orange).

If you want to change the framework background:
1. take your /system/framework/framework-res.apk
2. rename in .zip, unzip and open it
3. search for the 2 background images in:
res/drawable-mdpi/kuya_bg_settings.png (portrait)
res/drawable-land-mdpi/kuya_bg_settings.png (landscape)
4. change them matching resolution and orientation
5. save, zip (mantaining the same folder structure) and rename in .apk
6. make a backup of your original framework-res.apk or of the entire rom
7. overwrite the old framework-res.apk with the new one
8. set rw-r--r-- permissions and change the owner to root

MY STEP TO EDIT BACKROUND IMAGE OF CONTACTS.APK WITHOUT DEODEXING THE APK
1. open the apk (odexed) with winrar or any similar application (in my case i used betterzip for mac osx) you dont have to rename it to zip.
2. DONT EXTRACT whole folders within the apk.
3. extract the backgroud file (custom_background_dialer.png) within /res/drawable-mdpi/finger. DONT CLOSE THE APK WINDOW.
4. open the png in photoshop or similar image editing. edit the looks as you like and save it.
5. drag the edited png and put back into the apk window (in my case betterzip window)
6. the application (betterzip or winrar) will ask permission to replace the duplicate image (the orange one will replace with your new image). hit OK and replace.
7. click save button and done.
8. push the contact.apk to your phone.

PS: i attached the screenshot, hope it would help y'all. this method will work on framework.apk and mms.apk as well :D

Hello,

I use v3.2.209 for the moment and am very pleased with it.
The only problem i have, is that i don't know how to zoom when i'm browsing (opera mini)

Do i miss a setting, do i need to install another app or is this fixed in the new version?

tx.

    This is my daily rom.. I COOKED it to solve my problems on several CM7 bugs. Then I just wanted to share it.
    My ROM is based on racht HACKDROID v.86. Thanks to racht..

    Old story... I created kuyaDROID-87 with camera fix to HACKDROID then I mix it with nobodyAtall miniCM in version.1 to fix FM radio and LED notification.
    Now, I'm porting CM7 Legend Nightly Build in version.2 and above (I hope). Version 3 is the latest GB with 3MP camera fixed by doixanh.

    You can see change log for bugs and see what is working or not.
    And you can see CM7 Legend Nightly change log HERE.

    I removed several application (theme and CM7app and gapps) so you can choose what to add to the system rom. (don't put all in the system rom)
    Download the add-ons, extract it, choose and move it to sdcard and install via xrecovery.

    - i'm back to launcher pro (need all the feature), even i like the size of sh!t active launcher. btw, you can use whatever you want :) i've try both and ADW, no lag i think.
    - addons (apps from latest CM7 and some gapps) will be add soon, and i know you can add it yourself. just an option.
    - now i didn't forget file manager :)
    - new maps and market, i optimize the size, i hope nothing bad happen, so far is good.
    - and dont forget to install your dual touch module.

    but i can't find baiclark PM, and it's not a problem for me. maybe i'm just gone to long.

    like the suggestion above, you should make a new threat, and i agree to them.

    first of all, this is not my rom, this is kuya's rom so credits goes to him..

    now i found this rom very fast and stable, so i modded it, tweaked it, and applied new apps...yeah, i modded it, i did not make it..all credits go to kuyagaol...

    anyway this is my modded rom: here
