I tried this but i can't get write access (e.g. when trying to fix permissons) how to fix this?

I did it but when I reboot, I lost root again.
With Batista70 ROM, the beta 4 work fine. I think the problem is just with Cognition ROM.
I would wait until congnition 1.20 comes out. That will be based on KG2 and should solve the root issue (hopefully)
wifi doesn't work with villain 2.1 KG2 based. XXKG2 wifi doesn't work
well, I have issue with browser (no stop crashing), so I go back to KG1 Cognition

Do you flash set to "always". try using "on-demand" should solve the crashing problem
I said too many times about this. wifi issue is not a problem of kernel. (kernel works good if wifi turns on.)
also browser crashing is not from kernel like jlevy73 said.
Yeah sorry, I thought it was a wifi driver issue, so link to the kernel because another kernel work good with it.

OK, I just checked WIFI on Cognition S2 V1.15 and Lulz Kernel Build 9 Beta 4.
Here is what I've done.
1. Full wipe via CWM
2. Install Cognition ROM via CWM (WIFI OK)
3. Flash Lulz Beta 4 (WIFI OK)

Sorry, what I meant to say is set "Flash" to "on-demand" in browser settings. That fixed my browser crashing issues with flash content.
The cognition problem is the lost of root... WiFi works
Vr rom instead keeps root but WiFi doesn't work...
Thank for taking time to test them Tegrak. I've already asked vr rom dev to look at it too.
On the other hand designgear (cognition) is aware if the issue but he doesn't seem to care
Should be rom permissions issue IMO.

You need to know this before flashing!
This is a custom kernel based on the stock kernel.
NOT built from the source, only repacked initramfs of the stock kernel.
So this doesn't affect your battery time or performance. Just same as stock kernel.
It's only for providing useful functions. (but provide lagfix options on Galaxy S)

- you can choose one of zips by using volume keys.

- copy files from your internal sdcard.

- if you put framework-res.apk to /sdcard/tegrak/update/00/system/framework/ folder and run 00 folder, it overwrites your frameworks-res.apk.
*UPDATE: from external sdcard
- copy files from your external sdcard.
- /sdcard/external_sd/tegrak/update/00 ~ 05
*RESTORE: /system
- restore your system folder with a backup-ed file.
*BACKUP: /system
- create a backup file (whole system folder) in /sdcard/tegrak/backup/system.bak
*RESTORE: /data
- restore your data folder with a backup-ed file.
- data folder has all of your apps and apps' data. (account.. bookmarks.. etc)
*BACKUP: /data
- create a backup file (whole data folder) in /sdcard/tegrak/backup/data.bak
*RECOVERY: reboot recovery
- enter 3e recovery mode.
*DOWNLOAD: reboot download mode
- enter download mode for flahsing via Odin.
*wipe cache
- delete files in /cache
*wipe dalvik-cache
- clear /data/dalvik-cache folder.
*wipe init.d
- clear /system/etc/init.d. It's useful when you put a wrong script in there.
