if it doesn't take (the rename) open containing folder on computer, right click file, go to properties and try to rename file correctly there.

I've been only downloading to my phone directly I work a lot don't have much time at home.
I wish someone had a system that did this with a couple clicks
yeah me too. I dl'ed the torrent to my phone using tTorrent lite.
lot of steps to get it done, in the end it was worth it.

did you ever rename it?
can you download again, and this time when you rename, type everything except. zip, because it is already a. zip file?
is it on your phone and can you rename with es, astro or root explorer?
wait a minute, you renamed and it still won't install?
if you followed the instructions correctly, it could just be a bad download. have had it happen before with phones. I would try downloading again.

Well I downloaded the two from DROID RAZR.com
then I deleted that and downloaded the one on this thread and didn't rename at all and that's what happened. The 2nd time.
I never could get op docs one to dl, but I was mobile. I dl'ed torrent from DROID RAZR source at bottom of op, that was the one I used and although instructions say to rename, I checked file name and it was correct so I didn't have to.
op docs version is. zip, not. zip. zip

Yes. I didn't even have to rehack mine.
Also, I dl'd the torrent and had both files and no problems. That was Friday or Saturday though. The google docs one didn't work for me on dl.
Has anybody had issues dropping data?
I can't determine a reason but it was really bad last night between our crappy Vizio bluray and the oem hacked mobile hotspot dropping out while streaming Netflix.
Wasn't near as bad on GB but I couldn't hold 4g in my basement either- now I can until I lose all data...it's similar to the condition the smart actions were causing before I froze them.

ICS Install not working
Alright, Ive had alot of phones and alot of different roms. I will admit this is my first time trying to install a rom on my Droid Razr. Ive kept stock because I have the lapdock..etc. So anyway im running stock 6.12.173.XT912.Verizon.en.us. It is rooted, I can mount root as r/w, I have copied both .erc and .zip into the cache folder.
I Installed ES and selected rom manager to open the .zip. Rom Manager pops up and reboots the phone, then nothing, just a normal boot?!?!??!?!!?!?!? WTF... so I decide to try the Cheesecake method, install that app change servers and of course it hangs on creating a motorola account..whatever the f this is. Sammy used to be easy on install roms. dont know whats up with this moto boot crap. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Again I have tried this 8 times.

Just dl'd and ran. Will have to stream some movies to the bluray and see how it does. Gracias!

Method 2 I DID NOT FIGURE OUT THIS METHOD BUT THANKS TO Vicious on DROIDRAZR it works !!!!
Prerequisites:
Root
Es file Explorer
Voodoo OTA Keeper
Free version of Rom Manager
I recommend to do a factory reset before doing this
Procedure:
1. Download the ICS leak from here
2. Make sure the the system is writable in es file manager
3. Copy and paste it to /cache
It should look like this
4.Open Voodoo Ota keeper and backup root
5.Go back to es file manager
6. Click on the the zip that you put earlier
7. A menu similar to this should come up
8.Click rom manager and click reboot.
9.After it installs boot into stock 3e recovery and wipe cache.
If you did for some reason lose root while doing this you can root again using this by AdamOutler
