Hello HOX users, now that the PAC team has published PAC 4.4, I'm allowed to do so myself :D
This is very stable for my light usage, although it's still in alpha stage :eek:

How I built this ROM

I simply downloaded the PAC 4.4 repository, and the CM HOX device files, and built the ROM :victory:
That means this is an unofficial build, but is a clean PAC build. If it happens and I add something not found in original PAC, then I'll announce it here.

Woah man great work. btw why still a jellybean rom? why not kitkat?
P.S no offence from my side.. PAC-Man is my favourite rom even if it is not kitkat :)

Glad you asked that question :)

Sadly, I'm not allowed to publish PAC 4.4 right now, because PAC team doesn't allow it. They still consider that the kk version of PAC is alpha a.k.a not ready yet. I don't think you'd want someone to release your unfinished work ;)

The moment they announce that people can publish PAC 4.4 , expect to see a version for HOX. You can count on that, I promise:thumbup::D

downloading and will flash. very excited to see a new ROM. i was on skydragon. can you tell me how to boost speaker volume? i have always found speaker vol too low for cm roms.

I must say that the alpha version is very very stable. I am using it for me than 24 hours and i got no problem.. So pac team should be ready soon to allow people to post the rom..

When does Settings FC? Every time you open settings app or only when you click on a specific option in settings?
Notification drawer background doesn't work. This is a known bug of PAC 4.3 (which will be fixed in 4.4 once it's released ;) )

It happens randomly. Now for few hours not seeing the error. Not sure what caused it. If it happens next time i will let you know why it happend.

Great news! Seems that PAC team will start publishing PAC 4.4 next week :D
That means it is possible that I'll be allowed to make my 4.4 builds public for HOX users :thumbup:
I'll keep you updated on what happens.
Be excited, be very excited! :p

Oh and in case you notice the signature, yes i finally received my HOX, and I'm trying to resolve the boot issue noted by the fine testers. Let's keep our fingers crossed;)

man.... the speaker volume is so low. i cant explain how low it is. its even hard to hear songs with the speaker. i cant figure out what is the problem. i know that cm based ROMS for HTC one x always had low speaker volume but this much low? this is so not good. i missed all my calls today. i even installed viper4android. no change. how is this possible. i even used a hair dryer on my speakers. no change. how can i fix it. please help me. i really love this rom but sound has to be better. i am sure others are facing normal sound. i think its only me. it can be a hardware issue but this is rare since i never dropped phone nor did it ever hit anything, what can i do boss? :(

You said you installed V4A, but did you set it up properly:what:
I find it hard to believe that a 20 db gain won't solve your problem:rolleyes: :p
If you're sure you're doing everything right, then back up your rom and flash stock, then you'll know for sure if it's hardware or software, but in both cases, flash PAC directly afterwards:sly:

EDIT: it's pretty simple

1. install V4A, run once and install drivers
2. reboot
3. run V4A, open the menu and click ui setting, then expert
4. reopen V4A, enable V4A for Phone Speaker
5. go down a bit till you see EXTRA LOUD, enable it and play with the settings there till you find the sound is now loud enough for you
6. you can also play a bit with MASTER GATE (Output Gain, up to 6dB)

If that doesn't work for you then I think you have a hardware problem :(

tell me your settings of v4a. lets try your settings. its really surprising for me too. i normally dont use speaker to listen to music. today i wanted to play some songs in the car from my speaker and damn. i was dissapointed. :(

    Dude why did you ask such a question! You'll make me ruin the surprise :cool:

    First of all sorry for the lack of updates, but only lately did I have time to work on this ROM again because of Easter holiday. (Before it was work, study, and building PAC for my Xperia Z with new Kernel from Sony, it's a long story >_> ).
    Right now I'm trying to build PAC for HOX with Linaro 4.8. This should improve performance and responsiveness, at least that's what XDA says about Linaro 4.7, so I guess 4.8 would only be better :p (check here)

    Soooo, sit tight and wait for the update:cool:
    The PAC team has a lot of new features in store for you :victory:

    UPDATE:
    AND there it is :D
    The build is now in the PAC-4.4 folder on mediafire:
    Kernel is built using Linaro 4.8, but ROM is still built using the old toolchain, because of incompatibilities. Maybe someone can point me to a ROM built for HOX which uses linaro for ROM compilation, so I can ask the developer of that ROM about this :)

    Well saddle up, because a new build is ON THE WAY :D
    I'm currently uploading a PAC 4.4.3 build, with TONs of new stuff to play with. I strongly suggest a full wipe if you're coming from one of my previous PAC builds.
    You'll find it in the same MediaFire folder.
