Will the CM9 hardware problems still true with this ROM? For example mic and camera. I won't care much about camera now but a mic would be great to work with GrooveIP.

I downloaded and installed this last night on my touchpad, which was previously running cm9alpha2.

The only real problem that affected me with this version is that ES file explorer can't play (or perhaps it's mx player) any files off a windows share. I can connect to the share, copy files to and from the share, check properties, delete, rename, so it's not a permissions/access problem.

But as soon as I try to play it, the screen turns black, and is unresponsive except to hit the back key.

Copying the file to the local sdcard and playing it works fine.

However, this "remote play" worked fine on cm9 with mxplayer.

Other than that, everything I tried, which isn't much, since I basically use it as an alarm clock and media player, seemed to be OK. no mic, no camera doesn't make any diff to me.

When I install AOKP Milestone 4, when it initially boots up, I keep getting Android Keyboard has stopped. I have factory reset and cleared Dalvik cache and re installed AOKP again, however, i still get the Android Keyboard failing on me every time as soon as the Touchpad boots.

Any idea how to resolve this?

In terminal emulator:

su
mount -o remount,rw /boot
echo "AOKP" > /boot/moboot.default
mount -o remount,rw /system
exit

That should do it.

@OP: Very interested in this ROM - think I just may flash it tonight. Thanks for the work and dedication.

How to fix wi-fi on this ROM? When I install it first time everything works fine but after I reboot, I cannot connect. My Wi-fi says Saved Secured...

Just flashed, and playing with all the new features. Flashed without a hitch, WiFi working for me.

Just a minor bug report: When setting lockscreen wallpaper, AOKP settings crashes. Can anyone else confirm, or is it just me?

Loving all the new features to play with. Will report in later.

Is anyone having audio issues with the screen off? I remember having these issues when the early cm9s came out but I thought they kinda got resolved.

Btw guys, jb aokp. Is NOT coming soon. Our chip set, the msm8660 isn't even supported yet. Cm10 is it until they support it, which they will in the future.

yea i tried this twice with build 37 and 38 still no luck

yea that's the same issue i'm getting

do you know how we would go about making a flashable zip for this? sounds like i might have to package up the the build 36 drivers into build 38 or 37 but being able to make a flashable wifi driver that we can flash in recovery would be helpful till this gets fixed

Check the wifi thread, but many versions have been posted. I have 5 different versions in a flashable format.

    -update -

Here are the last six wifi drivers you can use.
